Authorities Search Redlands Home Tied To Suspect Syed Farook[W:49]

Re: San Bern Shoot: Neighbor was afraid to report might be labelled as racist.

We have a rule at our house, "If you think that you should do something, then you should do something." When the neighbor few houses down started getting a lot of late night visitors just dropping by while the guy living there left for bit and when he came back, the visitor left, we didn't figure the neighbor had a late night Tupperware re-selling business, we figured that he was selling drugs. A phone call to his landlord and local PD and he went away. When the ex-con, WP, POS moved in a few doors the other direction and set up his house as a playground for preteen boys, we went house to house and let all our neighbors know that things looked sketchy, we didn't assume that he was just a friendly guy and the check on sexual offenders in our area proved us right. ALWAYS err on the side of caution. If you think that something looks hinky, then ACT. Who cares if someone gets offended, it's a lot better than having your kid get molested by some swastika tattooed guy with a shaved head.

And by "hinky," you mean "is vaguely swarthy-looking."

Re: San Bern Shoot: Neighbor was afraid to report might be labelled as racist.

First of all it was in fact a female neighbor, the LATimes edited their on-line story to eliminate the reference I had alluded to by a local news station.

Really?! and if the boxes where just pin-up calendars, the local mosque, media CAIR would have just let it go I am sure.

Ok, it is a lame excuse for her not to do the right thing. What did you expect her to make the accusation in a press release? Most likely no one would know about the complaint except law enforcement.

OOOOOHHHHHHhhhhhh really!?! What lesson did the nation learn for the Clock Boy case??????? Open themselves up to ridicule and a law suit???, those teachers just saw something and said something!!!!!!! Time for you to learn some intellectual honesty and reality.

For your comparison to work the nut with the guns and bombs would have had to file a complaint. A search of the house would have revealed illegal bomb making and devices. Thus ending the problem before it started. Instead some bitch ignored the **** because she didnt want to offend the shooter.

No, that's what you want to believe and it's dead wrong. By "hinky" I mean out of the ordinary, unusual, not conforming to the expected. It's the same definition that any halfway intelligent person would use, but you have to take a stupid approach and apply to me an attitude that I most certainly DO NOT embrace. It's this kind of bigotted crap that is tearing this nation apart.

Their motivation is that they are fundamentalist Islamists. Period. You want to do this pathetic ridiculous dance about understanding and how its REALLY our fault...but the undeniable fact is that the same fundamentalist ****s that commit terror acts in the name of Allah are the same fundamentalist ****s that kill their own daughters for wearing make-up.

And as usual you make a simplistic sweeping judgement, all the while never grasping that if you were right, then there would be FAR more violence in places like Indonesia, the most populous Muslim nation on the planet, whereas that particular third-world Muslim nation (which has a population of over 400M) has a lower homicide rate than even the most peaceful state in America. That simple fact destroys your sweeping broad-brush assumption.

In other words, you're insisting on looking at one tree, or one particular set of trees, but you're ignoring the forest as a whole. You simply can't see the forest for the trees. But I shouldn't be surprised - it's like the conservative canard that because they see some on public assistance who abuse the system, that means that everyone who's on public assistance must be abusing the system. You see the individual, or one set of individuals, and then you assign what they do to all the other millions who never did what those individuals do.

Nah...as usual I cut through all the childish ridiculous bull**** promoted by "hate America first" and "American guilt" types that are hell bent on trying to make this somehow our fault. I despise people that overlook the facts regarding the history of fundamentalist Islam and think that 'we did this'. You are free to feel whatever you want but if you want to own the mindset of these sick ****ers...be my guest.

WASHINGTON (Thomson Reuters Foundation) - The last words from Sarah were “Oh my God, I’m dying.” Then the 911 emergency operator heard a barrage of gunshots. Sarah, 17, and her sister Amina, 18, were found shot 11 times in the back of their father’s taxi, abandoned in a hotel parking lot. Their father Yaser Said has not been found since that New Year’s Day seven years ago when he told his daughters to climb into his cab, he was taking them out to dinner."

"Their deaths were honor killings, said Ruth Trotter, using a phrase little heard in the United States for a hidden horror of murder by a close relative to protect the family name, but rarely recognized by public safety officials.
Amina was secretly dating Trotter's son, Joseph, and Sarah had a boyfriend too, facts they tried to hide from their father. "Amina always knew that Yaser was going to murder her, it was just a question of when and where. She made Joseph promise that he would not harm himself, that when she dies he would live," Trotter said in an interview. He beat the girls and took them to Egypt to find husbands when Amina was 15 and picked one man who was almost 50. She begged and pleaded with her mother to come back home, she said."

Islamic Fundamentalism is a disease.

Iphone App shows nearest payphone - The Mountebank Tribune
USA Pay Phone Directory • Pay Phone Directory (this isn't even a complete list, since my hometown isn't listed and I know at least 4 off the top of my head)

Well, neat list, but very outdated. I looked at the closest town to me (Merrimack, NH) and every single one of these business listed has been out of business for many years, some for at least 10 years. I don't even know what "corner varrity" is, so I called both numbers, and you guessed it...non-working numbers.
