Russian bombers wipe out Syrian city of Nawa, just 15 km from Golan

Re: There once was a city named Nawa, Syrian... once

I will have to research that one.

Even Israel has bombed the Syrian city of Nawa in the Syrian Golan heights, seeing it as a bastion of vermin, and not appreciating that on their border. There really is nothing to the hyperbolic claims of the op.

Oh, come on now.

The Russians have maybe 90 long range bombers. And they have single-handedly destroyed a city of 60,000 using only conventional munitions?

No chance...unless they were at it for many weeks/months using all of their bomber assets.

And the only source for this is a right wing Israeli news source?

Pass.

Lol, true, and, there wasn't much left of it anyway, this is where things got started nearly five years ago, president Assad's forces have been bombing the hell out of it for years, and Israel has conducted bombing runs there as well. Five years ago it was a city of 60,000. Not so five months ago. Just an anti Russian propaganda thread.

Not sure how many times Israel bombed the city.
Nothing to the claim, well as I mentioned, i prefer to wait and see.
And from what I recall Israel, has mostly stayed out of it.

Indeed, Israel has "mostly" stayed out of it, but not completely. And their bombing the Syrian Golan Heights would be an example of such.

I wonder how many civilians we wiped out in the course of our 14+ year Infinity War.

It's ok though. Using the dragon balls, we can bring them back.

I take your marvel reference and raise you a DBZ reference!

For those claiming this is Russia going after ISIS, I'd just remind people that the City of Nawa was overrun by Syrian rebels and al Qaeda forces in opposition to Assad's Syrian regime and not ISIS. This story, if true, is Russia destroying Assad's opposition, not ISIS.

Syria rebels, Qaeda capture key southern town: monitor - Yahoo News

These are/were likely some of the people America and the coalition were supporting directly or indirectly.

Are the "moderate rebels" trying to take out Assad just like ISIS? If the answer is yes then Russia did a great thing by eliminating these "moderate rebels". Also Russia is there on invitation by the Syrian Government. I doubt the U.S. has permission from Assad to raise a rebel force against him.

Israel has contained itself to bombing missile transfers to Hezbollah. In all other respects, they are in fact staying out of it.

I was replying to another's post that quoted me. You wouldn't be here at all if you didn't do the same thing every day.

Dude, you have zero sense of humor.

Do you have any other sources for this?

As a rule I never listen to a word from Debkafile. I'd advise you to do the same if you can.
It appears to me this single source has a reputation of making false news, of which a very large majority of it becomes true.

I am sure you are okay with Putin destroying Assad's enemies.
Yes. I will confirm I have no problem with Putin's vermin control.

Yes, that's there claim I know. I was pointing out however that the Syrian Golan heights has been one of the hardest and longest hit regions in the civil war, refugees began fleeing there long ago. The op attempts to give the impression that 60,000 civilians were living in NAWA when Russia targeted rebel forces there which simply isn't true. Israel did attack targets there that they claim were convoys supplying Hezbollah. Who's in Syria documenting every attack and it's legitimacy.

I, on the other hand, would take a more traditionally American stand that not everyone is vermin that takes a stand in arms against a murderous tyrant. And there can be no doubt that Assad is a criminal against humanity. Giving him back his people would be an equal crime.

And having watched the Turkmen and Kurds for quite some time, I have that they have the best acts together in the region. Sure there are criminals in every community. But compared to Putin or Assad these people are so reputable that any comparison amounts to a serious flaw of judgement.

Subjective.

I love it> Russia is bombing Russian style vs. American style where we bomb children then claim we did it by accident and Russia says, "so"?

Non apologists. They understand the implications of war. Fools Like Obama think war can be clean.

It bothers the hell out of me that I support Putin over our own president on such issues. What is the USA coming to?
