Anonymous Says ISIS Plans Attacks Against 'Paris And The World' Sunday

Hacker collective Anonymous claims ISIS has plans for more attacks on Sunday……….
Anonymous, the loose collective of online activists, said Saturday it has uncovered information about Islamic State group attacks in Paris as well as on locations in the U.S., Indonesia, Italy and Lebanon, all apparently set for Sunday. OpParisIntel, a group within Anonymous, released a statement saying it had collected information about imminent attacks by the militant group -- aka Daesh, ISIL and ISIS -- on the French capital a little more than a week after a series of coordinated attacks there left 130 dead and hundreds injured.

Anonymous also said the Islamic State group is planning an assault at the WWE Survivor Series event scheduled to take place in the Philips Arena in Atlanta Sunday at 7.30 p.m., as well as attacks at multiple events in Paris.

WWE? Sounds weird, NFL would be a much higher profile target.

Even if some of the alleged threats exist, they are almost certainly being monitored by the appropriate Intelligence and security services, whose capabilities vastly exceed those of Anonymous. This release of information, which may be of questionable value or worse, could lead to unreasonable fear. The reality is that even as numerous places, events and locations may be mentioned in online or social media chatter to which Anonymous can gain access, their mention does not necessarily mean that there is a credible and imminent threat.

The Intelligence and security communities have capabilities to assess threats. Anonymous does not.

Seems to pour cold water over the "threat"........but it seems the FBI is "taking it serious" for what ever that may mean............This world has become almost unbelievable crazy IMO

We are living in interesting times.

For me ............I don't place to much faith in either........... I just posted the items because folks may find it interesting..........not that I put much faith in it.......

Anonymous type groups ought to use their hacking talents to stay inside of ISIS every Internet event and communications and be heroes instead of cracking into people's private lives to destroy property or steal.

Stealing is more profitable.

Stealing is more profitable.

Yeah, it is. And more cowardly in how they do it. If they had balls, they'd do it face to face at gunpoint. You know, like ISIS does...

It would have been more effective if they just kept tapped into ISIS communications and given that info only to law enforcement. Or for fun mess up ISIS's coordinations.

ISIS is such a wide spread out group across the world they need the internet for communicating. But don't the good guys have people capable as the Anonymous hackers to get into ISIS communications?

According to Telegraph (UK) today, the authorities and intelligence community knew terrorists were entering Europe for past 18 months. I believe that little tit-bit raises a lot of questions of its own. As for Anonymous, I do not believe they are what they say they are.

Glad to know Anonymous are actually doing something useful.

WWE? Sounds weird, NFL would be a much higher profile target.

Could be a lot of reasons. Security, easier target. Preplanned attack.

Or maybe terrorists are not WWE fans.

Easy enough to stop in the US. The cops just need to look for Syrians? ;)

To the bolded, yep, and 130 people are dead in Paris with hundreds wounded. Germany has scuttled events, Brussels is closed and the Islamic extremists are winning. Time to rethink ME policy people.

Btw, I posted a story earlier about intelligence and le warning of the "Iraq effect" and the influx of Islamic extremists that began after the Iraq invasion forming sleeper cells all over the US. These people have been coming here for over a decade and are imbedded! Stupid, failed, tragic US policies that have radicalized a Frankenstein monster.

I got a great idea...........Just pull out and come home ..........let the Sunni murder the Shia like they have been doing for the past 1200 years.............The war between the sects will disrupt ISIS..........and turn their Caliph into a graveyard..............

Who says we have to be the world's problem solver...................it costs to damn much...........I for one says..........."WHO NEEDS IT"
