Republicans Are So Detached From Reality, They Think Unemployment Has Risen Under Obama

Regional and State Employment and Unemployment Summary

This is all good news and far from what Bush left the mess for Obama to deal with………….but in spite of the news Republicans continue to live is lala land………..
Republicans Are So Detached From Reality, They Think Unemployment Has Risen Under Obama…………..However that is far from the truth……….

“A Bloomberg Poll released on November 19th found that a majority of Republican voters believe the unemployment has risen during Barack Obama’s presidency. According to the poll, 53 percent of Republican voters erroneously think the unemployment rate is higher now than when Barack Obama was first inaugurated in January of 2009. Only 38 percent of Republican voters correctly understood that the unemployment has dropped during Obama’s presidency………….

The unemployment rate has not only dropped since Obama took office, it has dropped dramatically. When Barack Obama took the oath of office in January 2009, the unemployment rate was 7.8 percent. It rose to 10.0 percent by October of that year, as the full impact of the 2008 economic crisis took hold and caused massive job losses in the U.S. economy………

………….since October of 2009, the unemployment rate has dropped sharply, and by October 2015 it had fallen to 5.0 percent. After the Bush economy fell flat on its face, Barack Obama has put Americans back to work again, and the nation has enjoyed a modest recovery……….”

Unemployment statistics without context ?? No, you wouldn't. Yea sure, sure you would. Love how those on the left, those who " care for the little guy " go out of their way to ignore the tens of Millions of Americans who are either out of work, unemployed or just struggles to make ends meet.

If Obama had his way, those people would be forgotten by the media.

Context....
Record 94 Million Americans Not In The Labor Force; Participation Rate Lowest Since 1977

And THE 2008 Financial Crisis is actually rooted in Clinton's policy to force lenders under the threat of DOJ prosecution to lend to people with poor credit, no credit and or little to no income verification ( No Doc Loans )

Well, that and Clinton co-opting Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac into the Sub-prime market and then appointing his Democrat criminal buddies ( Franklin Raines ) to run them like ENRON on steroids.

Yeah I have heard all that before...........but you cannot claim that the unemployment rate is not 5%..............and it is significantly lower than when Obama took office...........

All the other stuff you cite very well may be true........but has no bearing on the UR.................your cites maybe other measures of how the employment/economy situation may be.............but the UR has no bearing on those items you use.............UR is measured............

The same way today as it was in 2009........... any 5 is lower than 10.................Case closed

Yep, shrink the pool, don't count 94 Million Americans and you can come up 5%. Just Statistics without the needed context to qualify it as anything but a deliberate attempt to pass off propaganda as " good news ".

Again, the left wing who claims to care about the struggles of the underclass, the jobless and the poor are doing everything possible to marginalize their struggles and even their existence. You chose not to count them, not to acknowledge them because it makes your President look incompetent.

And your'e a " Conservative " ?? :lamo

A quick lesson from a REAL and proud American Conservative. One primary distinction between a Conservative and a Liberal.

Conservatives use the truth to shape their ideology. Liberals use their ideology to shape the truth. Truth, not ideology is expendable to a Liberal. It can be shaped, molded or just out right ignored in order to perpetuate a twisted agenda that's set in stone.

Listen pal........................let's try and stop telling me who I am.................And on subject...............What is being measured is the Unemployment rate................plain and simple.............you want to talk about the implications of other economic reports...............but the subject is has the UR gone down since 2009...........and the answer is yes........

Should be simple enough for most folks to understand .............don't you think?

They're not counted as unemployed because they don't meet the defintion of unemployed...a definition that has always defined unemployed as people looking for work.

Out of curiousity, though, how do you suggest unemployment be measured?
