Report: FBI expanding Clinton email probe
The FBI has expanded its probe of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's emails beyond a provision involving "gross negligence" with national defense information,

Agents are now also looking at whether statements that have been made violate a federal statute on providing "materially false" information, according to Fox.

"The agents involved are under a lot of pressure and are busting a--," an unidentified intelligence source told the network, which noted that the statute can be broadly applied.

Politico reported earlier this week that the FBI has "stepped up inquiries" into the private email server Clinton used during her tenure as secretary of State.

Looks like Comey isn't playing the same propaganda game as Clinton, Politico, the State Department and Media Matters. I wonder how long it will be before the FBI rains on this parade. The timing on this could be right after the primaries.

Hillary Clinton's emails did not contain highly classified secrets, inquiry finds. - POLITICO

Politico can't make up their mind. When real news collides with propaganda, what will they do?

The FBI has been serious from the beginning. They don't screw around or care if you're a Clinton or not. The media, however, have been repeating the Clinton talking points the whole time, and that's what NNBD means, referring to the media - "When real news collides with propaganda, what will they do?"

It is exactly like lying, but that particular term comes with a Prison Sentence, and is what got Martha Stewart locked up, and will probably be the reason Dennis Hastert goes to jail since his other crimes' statute of limitations have run out. That's the difference.

Whatever the FBI finds is one thing, and probably kept in secret. What a federal prosecutor, employed by Obama's overly politicized Department of Justice - and made so by Holder, will charge and is allowed to charge, that's quite another thing.

Maybe. However, the DOJ has non-political appointee prosecutors that may take up the case. For instance, based on where some of the lies took place, the FBI could choose to turn the case over to the US Attorney in an area where a non-Obama US Attorney is located.

Plus, if the Obama Administration thwarts the FBI and refuses to prosecute, there will be leaks to the press, just as there are leaks now. We'll know. Probably not everything in the file, but we'll know enough.

Seriously though. If the FBI refers charges, and the US DOJ refuses to take it up, there will be Hell to pay politically for the Democrats. I truly believe that the DNC and many other Democrats would run from her like rats from a sinking ship, and there would be bipartisan calls for an unbiased court hearing/trial of the evidence.

This is a whole NEW investigation. It isn't an oversight thingy. It is born from the Benghazi investigation that "found nothing." Kind of funny how that works. "Nothing" spawned a FBI investigation from a director that was appointed by Obama.

I think Comey will stand his ground with Lynch if they find something in the investigation. He can always go to Congress if he thinks Lynch is trying to promote a cover up. It looks like they are finding something or they wouldn't be calling in witnesses and expanding the scope of the investigation.

1) When it comes to fellow dems, there is not a liberal/dem out there that cares about the rule of law, including the media. They have the character and moral compass of toe jam.
2) Even if the FBI is not corrupted enough to recommend charges, there is no way in HELL those partisan corrupt aholes at Obama's DOJ with prosecute.

Gentlemen. Yes, I hear you.

However. Just look at the mockery that Obama, his administration, his Department of State and Hillary have made of things to date.
How they've stonewalled and thwarted the legitimate inquiries and requests for documentation of a congressional oversight committee.

Given the very high political stakes that you've clearly identified, do you think this means that Obama et. al. will roll over and start to cooperate? I hardly think so. I think they'll only get even more desperate, and pull out all the stops, pull out all the sharp knives, to prevent the escalation that you've described.

If Obama didn't want this to happen, it wouldn't be happening. Perhaps there is truth to the statements that Obama believes that, if elected, Clinton will attack him and ruin any legacy he may think he has built up in the past eight years.

The article I linked is about more that the FBI is going to investigate than the one you liked. Keep up. The new expansion is about providing "materially false" information. That means lying to the FBI in such a way that it requires them to increase the scope of their investigation. It isn't about if she had classified information on her server. It is about who lied to the FBI about the classified information that she HAD on her server.

Who does the server belong to that the FBI is investigating? Who used the server that the FBI is investigating? Who lied about the server that the FBI is investigating? You know, where she said the didn't ahve any classified information on her server, then she didn't KNOWINGLY have any classified information on her server them she didn't send any classified information on er server then she didn't KNOWINGLY send any classified information on her server. That server. If you want to stick with the FBI is investigating the server and what the server did they stick with it. This is acknowledging that the investigations is beyond that. Someone lied to the FBI. The FBI is investigating someone about lies. No matter who it is they are linked to Clinton. That would make Clinton complicit by providing the server.

And point out the "questionable" way the RW has doctored the story is IMO completely appropriate..............

If you are responding you are doing it without quotes. That makes it look like you are spamming. The fact that you aren't really responding with any real response other than knee jerk reactions makes it look even more like spamming.

No, not even if there was misinformation, which there isn't. I would also offer a coherent rebuttal that consisted of more than a one liner.
