Alabama Police Officers Go Mid-Evil On Alabama Student

nope not out of touch at all.
your platitudes fail miserably.

the fact is all those guys were arrested and put in jail.
and while the tape is being reviewed nothing will be done with the cops. more so because I seriously doubt
the video is complete.

it is missing a good 5 or 10 minutes before the cops arrived.

Wait, someone is still actually defending the cops?

The Chief isn't even defending them anymore.

Do you realize the "arrestable offences" the officer claimed was when the kid touched his arm as the officer went over the threshold, claiming that was the "violent crime" that allowed the jack boot into the home".

of all the charges, every singe one of them stemmed from after the officer initiated violence.

I know, it is pretty funny. He just told me he wasn't out of touch with reality, too. Kinda behind the times by a few days, at least. Give him a week, maybe he can catch up?

Sorry, ludin, not trying to be mean, but seriously. You are trying to twist people into something we are not, and you are ignoring the facts after these videos came out.

One does not have to exit ones home due to a noise complaint.

that was an illegal order.

no it isn't.

then when the kids told them they did not want to talk to the cops the cops staying was illegal
that is obstruction.

when the cops entered the home that was illegal
not after they obstructed an investigation.

when the cops attacked the kid with weapons that was illegal
the one kid was resisting.

when the cops continued to beat the kid with a club as he was lying prone that was illegal
again internal affairs.

all this violence over a noise complaint by the authorities should appall you.

yes the kids behavior do appall me. screaming acting like a bunch of drunks which is
why the cops were out there to begin with.

had they given the officers the information they needed instead of screaming and yelling
the cops would have written them their fine and gone about their business.

somehow I doubt this was the first time the police were called on these people.

Yawn.

Just another video without context.

The cops were there for a reason and the kids weren't letting them get to the bottom of whatever that reason was. Instead of cooperating they decided to play ****house lawyer and somebody got tuned up. I will NEVER have any sympathy for a jackass that is obstructing a cop who is investigating a complaint.

 play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

no they were committing offenses earlier. failure to comply hindering and obstruction of a police investigation etc ...

You are ignorant of the law.

"[t]he right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." 4th amendment.

This is why the thug cop was insistent the kid come outside, then had to use the excuse the kid touched his arm as a reason to remove him from the home under "exigent circumstances".

This was a noise complaint. the only mistake the kids made here was opening the door in the first place.

had they not done that there would be little the cops could do other that tack summonses to the door.

the officers have been suspended with pay paring an investigation.

They should be tried with felonious assault with a weapon in the commission of a crime.

no the police chief is playing politics.

I disagree, I think he was appalled by the actions done under his department and acted accordingly.

change is coming and this is good.

yes it is appalling that kids act that way. I have to question how they were raised.

He was respectful, knew his rights, and was assaulted for it. I think the kid was raisred fine. now the savage cops here, them I'd like to see a psych workup done on.

I was never raised like that.

YOu were raised to be a sheep, to submit your constitutional rights to the whims of abusive government athority then,

See my "there are good cops" thread for a comparison. ;)

See my "there are good cops" thread for a comparison. ;)

I know, it is pretty sad. Some people don't know the difference between criticizing an incident and generalizing over an entire group. I know some law enforcement officers, that are either friends or family, and they are wonderful people who work hard and do the right thing. Whatever. It is a crazy world online, that's for sure. Some people just want to be angry I guess.

no it isn't.

sure it is.

the law disagrees with you.
Exceptions to the Warrant Requirement

that is obstruction.

No, it is not. There is no legal requirment that one must talk to the police, ever.

"No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation." 5th amendment.

not after they obstructed an investigation.

incorrect, the kids were inside the home and stated they did not want to talk to the cops. This is thier right.

the one kid was resisting.

he was in his right to resit being dragged from his home by violent cops, once he was actually removed he gave no resistance as he was tased and beaten.

again internal affairs.

again, felonious assault with a weapon.

yes the kids behavior do appall me. screaming acting like a bunch of drunks which is
why the cops were out there to begin with.

They seemed to be polite if not animated due to the situation which was antagonized by the thug cops trying to generate cause to enter the home.

had they given the officers the information they needed instead of screaming and yelling
the cops would have written them their fine and gone about their business.

You have no evidence of this.

somehow I doubt this was the first time the police were called on these people.

it's a college town, oh no loud parties.... you can speculate all you want. quantity of calls has no bearing on denying citizens thier civil rights.
