I just told you why the put them in paper bags. Are you asserting that clerks in other places put drinks in paper bags also but without a twist and the only reason for this twist is "baptist law" (not a real thing btw)?

Explain the twist part. And explain why it's done on bags with alcohol in them.

Eisenhower campaigned to place "In God We Trust" on our currency and Pledge of Allegiance in 1956, despite centuries of having no God mentioned anywhere on our currency...
Our country hadn't even been around for "centuries" when Eisenhower was President, much less our currency. Of course, the term had appeared on coins for decades prior to its inclusion on currency.
