That is largely due to two factors. Typical liberal ignorance of what they cannot bring themselves to understand and then there are those using the Brer Rabbit tactic (please don't throw me in that Briar Patch).

No, it's not that at all. Everyone but hard-core, radical-right conservatives knows what a clown that guy is as soon as a camera is on him and a microphone in front of him. He's gonna alienate everyone in the country except his mother, Rush Limbaugh and you, given enough time.

Speaking of "alienating" have you seen how Obama has really brought the country together? We are now more unified then anytime in the past month.

Not only that, he was catapulted to the lead right after making the most racist announcement speech of any major candidate in generations.....Not all Republicans are racists or bigots, but most racists and bigots are Republican.

I guarantee you that no Democratic candidate for president could open their campaign up with a racist speech like Trump did and get an ounce of support in the primaries.

Sure, 90% of Hispanics are irrational.... That will win the over. Just tell them they are all irrational. This argument you are making is a textbook example of the kind of total lack of empathy much of the GOP base has, and why they have lost the popular vote in all but one presidential election since 1988.
