Westboro Baptist Church Is About to Protest Kim Davis for Her Multiple Marriages

Anything the west burough baptist church says should be disregarded they are barely recognized by the baptist churches.

The point was that people can live just fine and never get married. It's not like it's a very wise decision anyway considering how bad most people are in relationships.

And no, even if my view was that all guns should be confiscated, that would still not reach the same level of oppression, because a person's identity and beliefs are more fundamental than a freaking object you can easily live without - in fact, hundreds of millions of americans manage to do so. As a minor (iirc) who cannot purchase these weapons, this should be obvious.

Which has absolutely nothing to do with whether they should not be allowed to legally marry, while others can get legally married, simply because some feel their particular relationships aren't worthy of such recognition.

i'm also not sure someone with severe retardation will even be aware enough to feel insulted. Probably their caretakers will though

Her impact was temporary, affected few and she was prosecuted. WBC has done many horrible things over many years.

I'm not asking you to apologize. The use of pejoratives against the disabled is everyone's problem. They've done nothing to hurt anyone and do not deserve the hate and marginalization.

As long as the word retard is used to address them, the term will remain a pejorative whether you like it, ignore the fact or otherwise. Keep pretending you decide what words mean in society, must be a nice dream world but it's no excuse.

you do know why westboro moved on to military funerals right? Because the general public had no problem with them doing so at the funeral of gay men, even those brutally murdered like matt shephard

kim davis is just another symbol of that mentality that's finally dying off. It's all one in the same to me - the neighbor down the street who voted against equal rights, fred phelps, kim davis

They're all ignorant, hateful morons. I think WBC is worse than Kim. I also think our quibble/debate about that is rather trivial.

yeah it's trivial, but i just have this image of kim davis hugging the first phelps she comes across, because she's a huge fan and figures like the "promise keepers" and huckabee they are there to rally on her behalf

it is quite a freak show
