Anything the west burough baptist church says should be disregarded they are barely recognized by the baptist churches.
A ring doesn't make a marriage, especially not a legal marriage. And women could live as slaves to men, men could easily live with less rights than women.
they're not in office because they are oppressed in this country. In fact, several states have (unconstitutional) laws banning atheists from taking office. Of course, these laws have never been challenged because none could ever hope to win election in the south
And no, even if my view was that all guns should be confiscated, that would still not reach the same level of oppression, because a person's identity and beliefs are more fundamental than a freaking object you can easily live without - in fact, hundreds of millions of americans manage to do so. As a minor (iirc) who cannot purchase these weapons, this should be obvious.
The point was that people can live just fine and never get married. It's not like it's a very wise decision anyway considering how bad most people are in relationships.
You mean like how society has decided that "moron" and "idiot" (which both used to be common term for the mentally disabled) are acceptable terms? Whether it's "special" or "challenged", the fact of the matter is that every single way in which you describe mental retardation will also be used to call someone stupid.
when did westboro ever prevent anyone from marrying or defy federal court orders?
I'm not apologizing for how you are refusing to see the context that I clearly used a word in, which isn't my problem but yours.
Her impact was temporary, affected few and she was prosecuted. WBC has done many horrible things over many years.
you do know why westboro moved on to military funerals right? Because the general public had no problem with them doing so at the funeral of gay men, even those brutally murdered like matt shephard
kim davis is just another symbol of that mentality that's finally dying off. It's all one in the same to me - the neighbor down the street who voted against equal rights, fred phelps, kim davis
They're all ignorant, hateful morons. I think WBC is worse than Kim. I also think our quibble/debate about that is rather trivial.
yeah it's trivial, but i just have this image of kim davis hugging the first phelps she comes across, because she's a huge fan and figures like the "promise keepers" and huckabee they are there to rally on her behalf
it is quite a freak show
Does that apply when they're the adulterer?
