IMHO it is a useless punishment purely done out of reasons of "revenge/vengeance" rather than justice. Sitting in jail until death to me is a much more fitting punishment, one it gives an opportunity for innocent people to get justice and secondly, I do not think it is the business of a government to be executing people.

You people? Actually it was just one person who does not really have a valid point, being pro-life does not make you a supporter of the death penalty nor is it the other way around that pro-choicers are in favor of the death penalty.
And insidious? And by the way, it is pro-choice and not other more insidious slurs.

The death penalty provides justification for the rationalization of murder. If the state can kill a helpless harmless captive for its reasons, why can't an individual? In this way, the death penalty encourages murder while all evidence suggests it does nothing to deter it.

Conspiracy is murder for sure. I myself am involved in a criminal case in which a price has been set on my head by my ex and stalker. Without the person that conspires to murder there would be no murder.
