I'm sure that Cuba will welcome all of those people with open arms and a nice fish dinner.

    Re: Obama Apologizes to Castro

What could Obama possibly have to say to a Castro for 15 minutes.

He should have listened to how things are going to change for the Cuban people before any positive steps are taken.

Too bad, they have had 54 years to scream and yell and be butthurt. The rest of the country is moving on.

The question is should the rest of the country move on? Cuba is a communist government that oppresses it's own people. I used to go to a Cuban restaurant in Tampa owned by someone who had been a political prisoner in Castro's prison. He served a mean Vaca Frita and Cuban revolutionary philosophy. The stories he told about life in Cuba and the Cuban prison were horrible. I think Rubio made some strong points. The time to normalize relations with Cuba may be when the Castro brothers die. All we are doing there now is strengthening despots.

As one who's been to Cuba several times through montreal over the past several years, I can't help but lament the changes that are going to come to such a unique culture and place as a byproduct of opening it up to Americans.

That is an interesting point of view. Ignore the people this will affect and disregard anything they have to say.

Will you use the same thinking with supposed white police officer violence against blacks? After all it is their problem, not every body else's, right?

Read the survey of Cubans in Miami-Dade I posted earlier in the thread.
