Elizabeth Warren poses a challenge to Hillary in 2016

You could be right, but I'm betting that most of the Democrats are tired of Hillary Clinton, and are hoping for someone to replace her.

I think the rank and file are in Hillary's corner. The fringe left in Warren's. I think her, Warren's support can grow and it may grow at Hillary's expense or at the expense of Biden, O'Malley, Sanders or some other candidate or perhaps a bit of both. How much of Hillary's support is written in stone is unknown, but it does seem she has the backing of the mega moneyed donors. I think if Warren is to have a decent chance, she will need to pry a few of those mega moneyed Democratic backers of Hillary away from her.

Re: bolded part....I think Hillary would have no interest in gun legislation except for the fact that she thinks it would win her votes. Warren, on the other hand, is nuttier than a Christmas fruitcake, and would ban guns in a second.

Exactly, since Hillary believes gun control is a state issue you're right in that she won't do **** about guns in terms of being for them or against them, ultimately I'd say that's pretty good.

That's why I want to see Warren get wiped.

Which is what wins elections - just ask Obama. ;)

You bet.
There's a bunch of similarities.

So standing up for average people is somehow to be attacked and denigrated? Amazing!!!! :doh:roll::shock:

The notion of Sacajawea as a foe of Wall Street (Lawyers) & bailouts is nonsense.
Her own funding sources puts the lie to that.
And she's no foe of business bailouts.
And she's managed to make herself a millionaire nonetheless.
Big bucks to be made in prestigious Universities off Wall Street offspring.
No sack cloth & ashes for that one, no sir.

What's the first POTUS election you'll get to vote in? 2016? If so, and Warren is running, be a proud American and don't pull the lever with her name on it.

Voting age is 18 right?

I'll be just a couple months too young at 2016.

My first vote for POTUS would be 2020.

However, I will do what I can to educate people on their rights, be that online, IRL, what-have-you. Ultimately they will decide themselves, but they will know that if they vote for Warren their rights may be in danger. The only worry now is that at my age people not taking me seriously as they should.

It seldom is a shoe-in for anybody, but on a tangent, I did see my first 2016 bumper sticker this week. It was for Carson.

Really? That must have been a self-made one given that he hasn't even tossed his hat in yet.

Living here in NH I tend to see them all before most everyone else. We should start getting official declarations in the next few months, they'll all have an apartment and local office here within a year, and the bumper stickers and signs will start popping up.

If she doesn't toss in for 2016 she'll likely be there in 2020, especially if a Republican wins the WH in 2016.

I like your thinking.

I suspect Hillary is still the lead jackass in the pack. Several others have said they are going to jump in. Webb, Biden, even Sanders has toyed with it. If Hilary runs she will need someone like Corey Booker as a potential VP candidate. I think as long as the dems remain viable contenders for the WH in 2016, Warren wont run. 2020 or 2024 will be a very different story.

I think from a democrats perspective she is a far better candidate than Hillary.

Said "Carson 2016". Don't know. Looked like it was a print job to me. It was on an Escalade turning into one of the local big money neighborhoods when I spotted it. It took me a minute to process. My first thought was "Who is Carson--Johnny's dead." Then I remembered that black doctor GOP guy and thought "Wow this is going to be a loooooong two years."

Johnny. Now that guy would have made one hell of a President. He could play Carnac with Putin's mind.

Hillary will never pick Booker for her VP. He's from NJ, and she's from his neighboring state of NY *cough cough carpetbagger*. Two northeast Liberals, and all that.

Location is irrelevant. She needs a minority VP nominee and Booker is the most likely candidate today. It may not BE Booker...which is why I said she needs someone LIKE Booker. It COULD be a Hispanic nominee, but frankly, I think if they prop up a Latino/Latina, it will hurt them with the black voting population).

Hillary has no credibility when it comes to the war on women (a drum she is going to wear out-but it will have little to no impact). She has no credibility in the black community and will not inspire people to come out to vote (she will already have the die hards in her pocket...what she needs is the casual voters). She has one thing going for her. Her last name. Even her supporters right now (and watch how quickly they jump on and off that rat ship depending on polling) cant even say what they like about her.

I was being facetious (and swiping at Hillary) with my comment. I love to point out her carpetbaggery.

Someone could probably say the same thing about Scott Brown from Massachusetts. But your point is well taken.

He hangs his entire Oped on one thing:

And the sex appeal and charisma Obama has is where with Warren?

:aliens1:

I'm not hanging my hat on anything except that it appears some momentum has been generating.

Guppie versus shark. But Warren could sink Hillary's chances at office with a nasty primary fight.

They did, but the difference between Brown & Hillary is a big one. Brown was born here in NH. She never set foot in Westchester County until she needed to buy a house to get elected Senator.

I hope she does a bang up job. At least for the time being she's seeming like she really is from the left. Not so much a corporate dem, and my god a Teletubby is better than Hillary is.

Warren is a mixed bag. She's an abomination on almost every social issue I know her stance on, but she rings sweet music to my ears when going after the corporate establishment. Now, that might all be fine and well, time will tell, and we'll see if she actually steps up to the plate if her number's called. Obama was all leftwing rhetoric the leftist if the Left until he became a legitimate contender and holder of power. Once that happen he turned into the rest of them a Corporate Jackass...
