One of the reasons why most democratic primary voters supported Obama over Hilliary was because Obama was a vocal oppenent of the Iraq war, while Hilliary was burdened by the times she voted in favor of supporting the Iraq war.

Actually, each action should stand on its own merits.

IMO, Congress (certain committee's) knew what Bush/Cheney and the CIA were doing.

I agree one should be consistent not only in criticism but also in support. IMO, intensive interrogation techniques (torture) to a select individual(s) that are captured is not the same as a drone strike which may impact more than one individual(s).

Killing suspected terrorists or using EIT on them is certainly related. Would you prefer that everyone only agree that 'Dick Cheney would torture again" and just leave it at that, without mentioning the present administration and their methods?

Right wing assholes? That sounds kinda like one of those 'insults' we read about all the time.

And the reality is that the lack of voice given to causes is VERY MUCH a part of the discussion. Selective outrage...only being upset when it is 'the other guys'...speaks volumes about how much the 'cause' actually matters. Now...when it is applied to democrat politicians, the fact that democrats were briefed on every facet of the EIT and the only questions they had about the program was to ensure that they were actually doing everything they could to extract data...that ALSO speaks volumes. While I hear a lot of butthurt people here talking about Bush, and Cheney, and the CIA, you never see them independently going after Pelosi, and Reid, and Rockefeller, and all the other dems that were full on read into this program.

Well, I do have a cold, and don't feel very good, but I do hate Cheney. I believe he is a major contributor to thousands of unnecessary American and foreign deaths. I wouldn't insult the Devil by calling him Cheney.

My wife is a cancer survivor, so obviously I hate cancer. I guess that means I hate hate, which does present a conundrum. BTW, I love Snickers.

Which definition? The un's definition includes "intimidating them or a third party". Im sorry, but if that is the case nearly every policing agency in the country tortures people. ,
