If the WalMart employees want to pick their own schedules all the time, they should consider another line of work, or open up their own competing business.
for what they make, it's unfair to ask them to keep wildly irregular schedules and to basically be on call when they are off. surely some improvements could be made.

What this says to me..is if the workers were abused..walked out.would they get any benefits due to their ''arrogance?''

if you don't like the schedule you have the option of going somewhere else, however you will find that all retailers have the same types of schedules.
it is all based on peak/nonpeak hours. during the holiday it gets even worse.

if you walk out of your job you get fired. that is pretty much standard policy in general.
these workers aren't union. walmart should have fired them for an illegal strike. I know I would have more so when I know there are 10-20 other people that actually want a job.

treat them like cattle enough, and they will unionize. easiest thing in the world to prevent.

a walkout really isn't necessary. that would be a last resort. first you form the union for all of the stores, and then you negotiate with management.

To be honest, the majority of the people who work at Walmart really aren't that interested in unions. There are a lot of part timers who just don't want to deal with it.
And no matter what the liberals say about Walmart, they do treat their people pretty damn good.

Exercising your rights sometimes has a downside.
