    You still didnt answer

What % of a companys workers should be in management positions?

And you cant just promote someone for being there a long time, they might not want to move father up the ladder and some might not be qualified or have the skill to move up to the next level. Not to mention that shouldnt the best person for fhe promotion get it regardless of tenure?

Sure it does: for managements that use such tactics: walmart being one of them. Many of the companies that I worked for were quite good, very relaxed and had a seniority list that reflected that by being very dependable, helpful and supportive of the company. Others, Roadway being one, were quite draconian in their approach and practice and their seniority list did the minimum, fought with management and won consistently. The shop stewards were turned into sharks constantly patrolling and looking for openings to attack the management and keep them in heel. It was not a good environment and why I refused to make the seniority list there; I just worked for them on a casual basis when there was nothing else going on.

Companies get the workforce they deserve: that is reality.

nope using a sick day to protest is fraud.

nope most companies have the same policy and people are fine it with. companies got tired of people abusing sick days and then needing off when they were really sick.
Dude; I'm talking about organized companies. Organized companies have either "sick days", as the have always been called, or "Personal Time Off (PTO)" wherein the number of days are mandated by the contract. Now, in your nonunion world, you can do whatever you ever want: walmart certainly has and the results speak for themselves.

It's right there in the OP! (chuckle) go read it. An administrative law judge is an NLRB judge. The organizing union filed an unfair labor practice against walmart and won a judgement.
