Well the Demos do want to keep things divided up.....otherwise they can't win. That's not saying they want Riots. But as long as everybody is against everybody else, and not against them. That's how they roll.

Yeah, for some reason, I seriously doubt the NOI is anywhere near as organized as ISIS. Did you actually look at the video? C'man man. Get serious. It's people who've never held guns, never had to fight for anything, sitting in a mosque and pontificating about what they'll do. That's as American as they come and at the end of the day, they'll go home, eat their beef, get fat and go to sleep. They're harmless.

No I was born towards it's end, in the most volatile period.

Especially when the ANC supporters were fighting the Inkatha Freedom Party and members of the White Security services were giving guns to the IFP, that was the most dangerous period.

That's when **** nearly went out of control, I was very young at the time.

Yeah, I'd say you're more qualified than any of us on the conditions required for a race war. Then again, given the kind of people who are taking Farrakhan seriously, I doubt this will ever be more than a silly speech by a silly old man.

Yea, because someone that was a little child during that time can teach us anything. He I was 5 or so during the marches on DC and lived there. I guess that makes me a civil rights expert.

I don't think I'm qualified, but it's all about context.

But one riot, in one suburb that lasted for a couple of days between periods of relative peace is not the beginnings of a race war in any context.

Farrakhan is a largely irrelevant and isolated figure, there are plenty like him about with varying degrees of pockets of supporters.

It's amazing how crazy dudes can attract supporters by picking on the vulnerable and disillusioned in society.

Extremist islam convinces people to blow themselves up, Jim Jones convinced a bunch of people to poison themselves and their own children, Hitler forced an entire country into a world war and genocide and I can't even convince any of my friends to help me move!

Try again. Self Preservation doesn't work with giving to others who haven't asked for anything.

The difference is in how many people they help feed, clothe, and give money too. Which we can see by the sheer number of Charities.

Then there was your Reverend Jesse Jackson and Rev. Al Sharpton. We can see how they live by those teachings they acquired. Perhaps you might want to share with them, that the Good Book is whats known as the Bible. Not, Papa was a Rolling Stone.

The fact that you were the first to screech race war in the thread shows you're definitely about as knowledgeable in civil rights as I am when it comes to quantum physics. Now, Jet has demonstrated time and time again he understands these issues beyond the usual vitriolic we hear from both the left and right wing. Have you? No. :shrug:

You see something you don't understand, so you twist words and deliberately take them out of context, accuse people of saying something they did say.
That makes the whole thread about someone, instead of some topic. Seeing as you cant discuss the topic like a grown up, you fall back on the other thing. Lying and name calling.

What leads me to believe you have more knowledge than anyone on this topic is that you're one of the few who has examined the issue without having to look at race. You have absolutely no reason to look at what happened in South Africa and what is happening in Ferguson and not claim it could lead to a race war. On the contrary, you have every reason to do so and yet you don't. You looked to a much more volatile issue, determined that if that didn't end in all war, why would this much more condensed and politicized issue? I would have simplified it and said that Americans (regardless of their race) are too fat and intellectually lazy to actually engage in a war over race again. However you simply realized that this wouldn't happen because the conditions aren't there just they weren't in South Africa.
