In 'Lost' Trove Of IRS Emails, 2,500 May Link White House To Confidential Taxpayer Data - Forbes

Less than a week after ’fessing up that it found some 2,500 documents potentially showing that the IRS shared taxpayer returns with the White House, the Obama administration has reversed course and won’t release the trove to a group suing for access.

In an abrupt decision, the Treasury inspector general’s office said that the documents are covered by privacy and disclosure laws and can’t be provided to Cause of Action, despite a promise last week to hand over some 2,500.
More IRS scandal for the White House, it must be a full time job for the Obama staff to keep these scandal straight. Remember the FBI files during the Clinton Administration.

The most transparent administration ever (with just a few key exceptions).

Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.” ― George Bernard Shaw, Man and Superman

Do the documents show this or do you just want them to show this?

I'm still waiting for someone to take action against them for these dirty deeds.

I don't believe that they should publicly disclose the list of people's returns who ended up at the White House. A certified letter should be sent to each of those people and if they then choose to disclose that letter, they can do so with authentic proof that their information was given "special" treatment.

agreed, that is one acceptable approach. They could also limit who has acess to these documents for a very specific purpose and put a legal sequester on them from using them for anything other than this legal case, they could also redact peoples personal information from the documents.

The defense is not going to hold up. It does however set up an appeal from the judges order to release the info. They are in desperation mode. This is the third gasp of a drowning man.
