Walmart Workers Launch Black Friday Strike

Enemies, not political opponents.

I always appreciate dead enemies for Christmas. Especially those who want to take Christ out of Christmas and use terms like Xmas and Happy Holidays. Fortunately, many of those also are leftist vermin. Double win.

You seem nice.

Jesus would be proud.

Just say a little prayer, like Voltaire. Your prayers may be answered as mine were.

Very, very Christ-like. You do know that everything you are complaining about is completely negated by wishing people dead?!? Which do you think Jesus is more concerned about?

They've never played GTA but he has 2 or 3 different versions of Forza, and loves every one.

Then that works well for you guys. I have played early versions of GTA--it is fun but gets boring--and I think I have played an early version of Forza on playstation. I have played so many playstation games I forget which is which anymore.

 We gave our PS2 to our son in New York. It has been so long since they played it. We still have the PS3 in the game room, and also the 360. Don't plan on getting rid of those, because we have too many games attached to it, that won't play on the new consoles.

That is stupid, in my opinion. I understand the original Xbox games not working on the One, but the 360s should work. With new platforms, we should be able to transition the previous generation's games to play on the new platforms. Like the old Xbox games were compatible with the 360s.

It is why I prefer PC games. You can usually play them on new computers even if you have to do it virtually. I agree that 360 not running on One was a huge mistake for Microsoft.

From what I understand, Sony did the same thing with the PS4.

Good to know but at least their games are somewhat cheaper. I assume the difference has to do with licensing fees when a title for 1 is cheaper than the same title for the other.

I've always liked Sony's platform better than Microsoft, but they wanted the One. They don't even know they have it, but I wouldn't get them something they didn't want, just because the games were cheaper. They'll probably get the 4 next year for Christmas. That's the way we usually do it. That way, I don't have to drop $1,000 on 2 platforms at once.

I normally buy quite a bit off of Amazon at Christmas, and I bought nothing from them this year. Well, one thing - my husband wanted a real leather wallet-style phone case, and I picked one of those up for him. Was originally $20, which was already cheap for real leather, and when I put it in the basket, it was only $8.

I didn't see anything else at all that was really a good price.

I did see that this year's Cyber Monday broke records as being the busiest, best shopping day ever in the history of Cyber Monday.

Black Friday was actually down, something like 11%.

I think retailers will see shifts like this. People are realizing they can stay home, avoid the crowds, get free shipping and still get great deals.

Plus the fact that stores aren't waiting until Black Friday to offer deals, they've been running them all week, that's going to cut into the sales on the day because people can shop earlier.

You have to beware of those "early" sales, though. I've been shopping for about a month now, and have seen, on several instances, items which were, say, 14.99 the week before and then hyped up in the circular as being on sale -- for 14.99. Saw that from several retailers this year. Even made a thread about it on here somewhere...

But you're right - a lot of people who wouldn't notice that, started shopping early for "Black Friday Week."

You've been around long enough. You should know by now that I rarely make intelligent comments or even serious ones when responding to the terminally stupid.

P.S. No one said a thing about people. Just leftist, militant anti-Christians, nothing was said about people.

So, people who have a different world view.
Much like the Taliban.

I still play my original Sega Genesis and Apple IIe games with the appropriate emulator. I even play old Dos games with "DOSBox." So I have a massive library of games no console can touch.

As for Walmart, who cares at this point? People can accept what they are paying and the hours or not. That simple. You want better? Go to school.

Mankind is a socialized predator, much like a wolf. Anyone acting like a member of a domesticated flock/herd is not acting human, Thus, I don't view them as human. They are a different species in direct competition for the resources of the planet/universe, thus, they are enemies.

Perhaps it a variation on Neitzsche's master/slave morality. Some people will naturally be masters, some will tend towards natural slavery. What Neitzsche left out was some will tend towards freedom without the need to be masters over anyone but themselves. I hold to the third option, freedom without being a master and I despise and dehumanize anyone who would willing be a slave, the left, and those non-leftist who feel they must be masters over others, the corporatist.

Define irony: Someone saying that basically anyone who is not Christian is inhuman, yet they are pulling a play from the Neitzsche handbook, when Neitzsche himself felt that God was dead.

Try reading and comprehending. I never said non-christians, I said militant anti-christians. I guess thinking and comprehension are not your strongest attributes.

Define ****ing Moron: someone who pretends to be able to read but then filters their understanding with their own prejudices and idiot world view.

bring your study to check out and see if if changes your total then I'll accept your argument, I have worked directly in this field in the past, milk is the same price everywhere, so is beer, so are cigarettes, so are potato chips. In nearly all cases the vendors control the prices to a greater extent then the store. Walmarts savings are exaggerated, go to the union store, buy the exact same basket of grocery products as Walmart, then go buy at walmart.

Here: Consumer Benefits from Increased Competition in Shopping Outlets: Measuring the Effect of Wal-Mart

It's not too long, only 28 pages, excluding the title page and reference page.

Direct observation is more reliable then studies which are easy to skew.

What exactly do you think longitudinal studies are, just simply researching facts and numbers on Google?

Wrong, rising tide lifts all boats, transferring wealth from the top to people who consume more creates more jobs for the lower and middle class.

What we are talking about is a bit more complex than a kiddy pool. There is something called a 'trade-off,' which occurs when a greater provision of social insurance and redistribution of income reduces the overall GDP pie.

The real wages of workers have stagnated as big corporate taxes were lowered and rates of unionization decreased, in fact real wages haven't grow since the 1970s eve though productivity has increased. The richest meanwhile have increased earnings 700% clearly there is an issue here, forcing that 700 percent downward will help everyone else.

Real wages aren't stagnant. They are still growing. Very slowly, but still growing.

Everyone accepts food stamps, which is why your argument that stores paying living wages hurt the poor, the poor aren't paying out of pocket for food now, so slightly higher prices cannot hurt them

There is no such thing as a living wage. High wages that doesn't accommodate market forces hurts everyone in the long run. That is why inflation exist. In the case of minimum wages, or living wages if you prefer, the ultimate end result will be cost push inflation. That hurts everyone, including the poor.

Would Jesus have approved the above post?

Just wondering.

How did you get them from cartridge to PC?
