People are going because they want to take advantage of the sales. They would go whatever day the corporations decided to have the sale. It isn't the public demanding that stores be open on Thanksgiving.

People would go on Black "Wednesday" is the corporations decided to move it to Wed. Consumers are responding to the corporation, not the other way around.
Just look at yourself and see it's the consumer and not the business. You said yourself, you don't go into the store. Therefore, even with GOOD sales you don't go. Now imagine if everyone did that.

So you have just proven it is the consumer that is the problem because if YOU and I can have the willpower to not go so can everyone else.

That's exactly right. So the WalMart workers who don't want to work are free to get jobs elsewhere and the people who want the jobs they leave can take them. It's easy like that.

(actually i did answer this but i'll do it again) yes, but that's irrelevant. maybe they've changed their mind about working holiday hours, which they, as free citizens, are allowed to do.

So let me ask you this. Are you going to the stores on Thanksgiving because of the sales? If not, you have just proven it is the consumer that is the problem.

I LOVE the sales, however, I won't support Thanksgiving night. Therefore I have made the decision and choice not to go regardless of the sales. So can other people. It is the people that are the problem, not the stores.

Free will Disney. You are excusing people's greed.

If it's an illegal strike, I hope they all find themselves in a line next week applying for unemployment insurance.

right to work has nothing to do with being fired. All slave mart people are at will, and can be fired. But then there is the pesky FLSA union retaliation laws...............

Well, if they changed their minds and the job is no longer what they want they are free to go elsewhere are they not?

I worked retail for 5 years many many many years ago and HATED every waking moment of work. Did I strike because I no longer liked my job? NO, I left and found a new one that was better for me. That is what the Walmart workers can do as well.

No. Again....the public would go whenever the stores have the sale. They were perfectly happy to go on Friday. It was the corporations that decided that this wasn't good enough and decided to destroy American Tradition to feed their wallets. The public was not standing outside of the stores demanding that they open.
