Most businesses destroyed in ferguson minority owned

If you go back and look at history over the last 50-60 years. You will find that when 'mob mentality' has taken over, they destroy their own neighborhoods and their own businesses.
Look at the Watts riots, Rodney King riots, Detroit riots.......

I think I said that, but thanks. ;)

Bottom line is that what she said was wrong. The article isn't based on lies.

You're right, it's not based on lies. I was incorrect to assess it like that but I stand by that I think in an article based on the fact that most businesses were minority owned, they should have done more research to list more business that were destroyed or damaged and actually were minority owned instead of making a list of some of the businesses damaged or destroyed which are non minority owned.

Even a buffoon can be justified in his rage. And in the present case, I would say that the idiots were the ones that failed to bring charges. That was arrogant and stupid even if it was legal.

If you don't like the Grand Jury process you'll have to go back a long way to change it.

Argument finished.
Opinion noted.

Most Businesses Destroyed in Ferguson Minority Owned

This is part of the stupidity I see. They destroy themselves, because they think looting, burning, maiming people will all help them. I remember after the Rodney King/ LA Riots how people like Jesse Jackson said we needed to understand their rage. No I don't need to understand their rage, they need to understand what a bunch of buffoons they are.....what a bunch of moronic low-lifes they are for doing these things. Maybe there are injustices done by the police, but rioting when they are clearly in the wrong only defeats THEIR argument.

I do not know if anyone else posted this, but he hits the nail on the head.

Well, even if you put that into context it still doesn't make sense. Those corporations and businesses had no involvement whatsoever with the Ferguson case. It makes ZERO sense, even in a retaliatory nature, to do that. Also, those workers that work in those stores were probably minorities that have no job now.

Why do you expect reason from Actions that are motivated by anger and frustration.

Th grand jury heard the testimony of ACTUAL witnesses and the ACTUAL autopsy findings from 3 separate agencies including the fed AND one conducted by an independent coroner at the families behest. The evidence supported the story given by the officer. It proved a lot of the 'eyewitnesses' were full of ****. So...at th end of the day...

Maybe they ought to ask what they are angry and frustrated about.

To people who place emotional value to this case, the facts don't matter much if they cannot deprecate emotion from reason.

You're not indicting everyone in Ferguson, right? Hooligans and street gangs never care about their neighborhoods, and every city has enough of them for a good riot.

I don't think anyone is blaming everyone in Ferguson for what is going on there. I hope the community places the fault on the right people, rather than the imaginary ones that "community organizers" teach them to fear, though. The people "protesting" in the street right now are the people that the Ferguson community should really fear.

Unfortunately, over the years I have come to expect that 5 years from now when Ferguson is still a burnt out husk of its former self and businesses don't come back that the people of Ferguson will blame the business owners and lean harder on the government, which will invariably fail them.

WHO is justifying it? Did I in any way justify it because I pointed out most of the business listed are not in fact minority owned, which is the point of the thread? I DO NOT AGREE WITH RIOTING AND LOOTING but this whole op is not entirely correct because most of the ones listed in the article are not minority owned.

With all due respect, the OP cited a certain article and used the title of that article to start the thread. The OP also expressed his own thoughts on the subject of looting and rioting. I presume that he did so because he found it disturbing that a bunch of hoodlums would trash their own town and cause additional difficulty for themselves just to make some kind of ridiculous point. I then commented based on the spirit of the thread rather than the letter of the thread.

l am glad l am not a black in USA. black people who have no guns can be easily killed and it is called "self defense"...........it is murder.

I actually heard one dreadlocked 'community organizer' say on CNN that the Klan was there and partly responsible for the destruction of Ferguson.........and the reporter kept a straight face.

Then you certainly haven't been exposed to relevant information.

We want justice....so let's steal and destroy stuff!

There is nothing about this crazy post of yours that represents the facts in this case.

If you rob a store then proceed to attack a police officer, you will likely end up dead, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Absolutely. Of course...that also renders their position completely invalid as well. Nothing so uninspiring as impotent rage.

robbing with what ?

lets stop being hateful to blacks.

"We" didn't bring charges because the Grand Jury, which saw and heard all the evidence, said there were no charges to bring.

People outside the country do not see that justice has been served. Interesting. And we started answering to people outside the country on matters that are none of their concern when exactly?

You are right that the charges were not brought. The question is why. And it is quite evident that a good many citizens do not believe the reason given is true. This is bad, because it further undermines what is obviously already legitimacy under siege.
And you are quite wrong to think that it makes no difference if outsiders think our justice system defunct. Part of leadership is trust in the leader. We stood tall in the Cold War because we were morally superior. And we are losing that high ground.

They're stupid. We should just let cops shoot them all.
