After WWII all sides absconded with a number of German Scientists and engineers.

The United States wound up with Wernher von Braun, who helped develop the Saturn 5 Rocket .

But Von Braun wasn't reponsible for the Moon landings.

His idea was to land a Saturn 5 Rocket on the moon. An American came up with the concept of the Lunar lander.

The innovations that allowed us to land men on the moon and return them safely to Earth came from a long list of American Engineers and Scientists.

Because sometimes its good to be able to look yourself in the mirror. I don't want a guy in my country who conducted medical experiments on other human beings. I don't want a rocket scientist who used slave laborers under appalling conditions to make his rockets, which were then dropped on London and Rotterdam. But that's just me.

Yeah, why would we care about silly things like genocide and torture and obscene medical experiments on prisoners? If I'm a 'bleeding heart' because I find that stuff appalling, so be it.

So you are fine with spending millions of tax dollars every year creating stories about 90 year old Germans who were 20 years old at the end of the war..........and basically just serving in the military

Failing to utilize the resources available to society harms society. Just because someone did bad things does not mean that they cannot be used for good things. The damage they did is done, that's no reason to deny the world the advancements they assist in making a reality. It would be a disservice to the world to squander intellectual resources in such a manner. We are obligated, to our fellow men, to utilize the resources available to advance society. Flushing those resources is not an ethically acceptable move.

Those who would have had trouble looking at themselves in the mirror would have been leaders who failed to put such scientific virtuosity in the service of their national defense. Fortunately our leaders passed that test and secured the talent for us.

Sorry, but IMHO the cost was too much. I'd like to think the war was fought for some purpose that included not rewarding war criminals. If that makes me naïve, so be it.

The war was fought for a high purpose, but that does not require our government to irresponsibly squander a rare national security advantage.

The war was fought to crush a government that refused to kow-tow to Jewish banking interests........and instead tried to build a thriving economy for their citizens.......

We were in a cold war with USSR.

I'd be perfectly willing to accept "using" someone who is a war criminal form a prior war in order to combat that kind of threat. After all, it's not like we're going to let the person repeat his/her crimes, and if the mind/talents are great enough...

Hitler was in jail in 1929.......and the German people were starving due to the Jewish banking interests raping the country. By 1936 they were hosting and wining the 1936 Olympics.......Hitler cared about his people.......the rest of the world was duped into fighting them for no reason.
