Nazis Helped Get Us To The Moon. The Reagan White House Helped Keep Them [W:182]

Admiration? No. You clearly don't understand espionage though. You steal as much information from your enemy as you can. You don't get it do you? In 1944-45 we weren't fighting the Nazis anymore. We were fighting the Russians. And taking nazi scientists meant taking their information base.

The only place scientists who conducted human experiments or utilized slave labor belonged was nuremburg

How about the folks that planned Dresden, Hiroshima and Nagasaki........or our 'allies' who gang raped 2 million German women and children......where were their 'war crimes' trials held?

The holocaust? Yeah, I think that was some great crime. Guess you don't.

Actually, the policies against the Jews from 1941 were done so according to law.

Part of the reason Germany marched straight into winter is that they were sidetracked due to Mussolini's incompetence. In the months leading up to the planned Operation Barbarossa, Il Duce decided it would be a good idea to invade Greece for no particularly good reason. The Greeks kicked the Italians' asses bad enough that Hitler had to send reinforcements to bail out Mussolini, delaying Barbarossa by about a month.

The second worst decision Hitler made during the war.

Do you mean just the German ones or all the scientists thought out history? And why is it just limited to scientists?...What a weird statement...Like no one's ever done experiments on humans or, you know, used people as slaves before.

The worst one was starting it in the first place.

No. Hitler was winning the war right up until 1942/43 and could have succeeded had he a) chased the British across the Channel and invaded Britain when he had the chance, rather than procrastinating in the hope Britain would come on side and b) didn't go and help Mussolini get out of the mess he'd found himself in.

Had Hitler wrapped up the war in Europe and Russia by December 1941 (which was the hope -- and achievable had Barbarossa not gone over schedule), America would never have felt obligated to join the conflict against Hitler (because there wouldn't have been one) and we may very well have seen German soldiers fighting alongside the Americans against the Japanese. As it was, these mistakes resulted in America having to form an alliance with the British, thus emboldening their military strength, as well as the winter setting in for the Russians -- a winter the Germans, unfortunately, were not prepared for. The rest is history.

Ok.

There is no even quasi-realistic scenario in which Hitler could have won. You have no clue what you're talking about.

That doesn't really correlate with the facts (considering Hitler had won every major campaign right up until Russia), nor with the opinion of most historians.

Logistics is the answer.

To which question?

What was one of the main problems on the Eastern Front when Germany tried going up against the Russians?

Yes, you're right. It was a big problem, partly because of the dilettante-junky Göring. But I wonder how much of that problem was exacerbated by the weather. I would wager a lot. It would be interesting to research.

Yeah, poor society, how dare we suffer even a minor delay towards reaching the moon - for the most part an international dick measuring contest - when we can protect mass murderers! No, our only obligation is to uphold human rights and dignity. I'd also like to see all the pro israel posters reconcile shielding nazi war criminals

So you'd throw war treasure in the ocean. Real smart move.

You will get no argument from me.

I mean those guilty of crimes against humanity should be prosecuted as such, but i'm not getting into a debate about human rights with a self-professed nazi
