In fact the NAACP began losing its real legitimacy about the same time people stopped using the expression "Colored People". It became the political arm of the Democrats and has remained that way ever since.

This has not been to the advantage of the Black community.

It isn't like the Tea Party offers them anything better.

What specifically do the "colored people" want that the Tea Party isn't offering them?

The Voting Rights Act would be a start

And the GOP and the Tea Party would like to repeal a good deal of it. They also would like to repeal parts of the Civil Rights Act, hate crimes legislation, and are pushing for voter ID laws. All of these positions are the opposite of the NAACP's, and black people in general.

Instead they focused on the bogus issue of voter ID preventing people of color to vote.

    Dip****z.
That is a good thing. They don't support candidates based on their race, instead it is the candidate's positions on the issues that matters.

    LOL....

Yeah who would ever think the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People would pay attention to race.

does the term 'useful idiot' ring a bell?
