Report: Exec amnesty 'no matter how big a shellacking' for dems

Then again, maybe not. We'll see.
Well, perhaps so, but I will be extremely surprised if that happens. He's a cold fish, and controls his impulses well, especially when it comes to public image.

If he does, it will all but spell the end to Monica Lewinsky's ex-boyfriend's wife's campaign chances.

The great majority of Americans are opposed to amnesty, legalization, and citizenship, as they know it's not only unjust to the millions of Americans harmed by illegal aliens, it will send wage-scales plummeting, while making it nearly impossible to address major-city over-crowding miseries.

The Republicans will play that up .. and then it will be the Democrats who will be all but "dead".

If this election showed anything, it's that a great many Americans simply are not married to "their" political party, and if things get bad enough, they'll vote out even people they may have previously voted for.

Think twice, Mr. President .. or you may be the last Presidential novelty candidate your party will ever successfully field.

Greetings, Ontologuy. :2wave:

Like he cares about anyone but himself! He doesn't. The SCOTUS voted unanimously twice that he had exceeded his authority, and he basically said "watch me do it again." It appears he's getting tremendous pressure from someone to carry out an agenda that this country does not agree with, and it's alarming to watch how he handles upsets.

I believe that self control is based on his own belief that he's in control. Up 'til now, he had control of two branches of government...it's a new ballgame. Over-reach has been the name of the gane since he was elected for his first term. I'm expecting him to go into overdrive.

Dang.....

This will..... be bad, methinks.

So much for hope of a repeat of the later 1990s where Clinton and Republicans worked together.

The GOP has had six years to show any signs of wanting to cooperate on anything.

That's Libboese for: give us everything we want annnnd shut the **** up!

Why is Breinbart no matter how many times stories from this site have been proven wrong is taken seriously?

Not just the GOP, mind you. Harry Reid wouldn't even bring bipartisan bills to a vote on the Senate floor. He twisted the rules as much as he could to prevent anything from actually being voted on.

And all the while one of the highest polling results, almost unanimously among all the demographics, is not to give amnesty to millions of illegal aliens.

I can see that Obama's perception of reality and the mood of the electorate is as accurate as ever. (*sarcasm*)

No, I don't think that this'll get very far. Sure, he may issue the EO, but there'll be so much pressure for the government agencies to not follow it, court ordered injunction until it's decided, and further legal battles, that it'll be little more than a paper tiger, a political stunt.

Yeah, I can hear Obama now 'I wanted to do something, but the nasty, racist, old white men of the Republican party stopped me'. As if even the Latino-Americans aren't going to see through this bit of political theater.

No, I'm of the opinion that if Obama does this, he'll just lose more than he'd gain.

 how many bills sitting on Reid's desk, again?

Yup. I am sure it is really going to hurt Obama's reelection chances if he vetoes legislation and he cares a whole lot about how it affects his party given how they stood by him during the midterm.

Oh wait...

Kind of hard to cooperate with someone when they don't ever meet. I think Obama and McConnell has met like twice in six years. Look If Obama wanted to work with Republicans, he would of had 360 some bills sitting in purgatory on Reid's desk, or for that matter, would of gotten some bipartisan cooperation on Healthcare.

Compromise isn't about "Let's just do what I want that you want" It's about doing something that you don't want, and then the other guy following.

He's a lame duck President with nothing to lose......he will try to pick up that 'all important' Hispanic vote for the Dems.......and ignore the White vote

Who needs congress when the next king (or queen) can take over the phone and pen that run the country?

Deuce doesn't hear you, he's blown away that the country rejected his Dear Leaders plans.

None! Which is why articles of impeachment should be drawn up a few minutes after he announces the executive order has been signed.

That's what should happen, but it won't. There's no will in Congress for something like that.

:raises eyebrow: while that might be nice, what mechanism do you see providing that forcing function? Congressional impeachment of presidential appointees?

I doubt it. It took women some time to start to see through the War on Women BS, and even then, that required some idiotic abuses by Democrat candidates. Blacks still overwhelmingly believe that the reason republicans oppose the President's policies is because they are a bunch of racists. :( Demagougery works. That's why the Founders warned us against it.

I just don't see what he has to lose.

Oh I have no doubt that Obama gives precisely zero f---s about others at this point. I'm just pointing out that if you are going to discuss masters of repercussion-less congressional non-cooperation, you need to take a look at Mr Reid & Co more than Republicans.

I do not disagree but it beats wasting time and passing hundreds of bills that have no chance of passing. I just do not see how this election will change anything.

I just don't see what he has to lose.

The mere fact that he believes that he has nothing to lose makes him far more dangerous and unpredictable than ever before. McConnell best be on his toes when dealing with such a president.

Republicans will fall all over themselves to vote for any black conservative.......its like watching a suburban White bumping into a black mother and her two year old child.......the over/under on the word 'cute' is about 50. Here's a stat you might be interested in: 58 percent of married folks with children voted Republican. The Dem vote breaks down to minorities and starry-eyed liberals who live in states where they have little contact with minorities.......see New Hampshire, Vermont, etc.

We have minorities here in NH. Even our "starry eyed liberals" come in contact with them.

I'll bet you NH folks know your minorities on a first name basis......LOL. Now if you drive over to Lewiston, Maine where all the Somalis are sucking off the public tit it gets more complicated............start with Mohammed......always a good bet versus say Peter or Paul

Exactly.......he is going to grant amnesty by executive order no later than Christmas like he said he would.......who's gonna stop him?......Lindsey Graham? John McCain?.........LOL.......they will be at the Rose Garden ceremony accepting pens as souvenirs

Source?

He said he would wait till the end of the year before doing something. What exactly he will do is unknown, but if not granting amnesty, then what?
