He admitted it. He was so far behind in the polls that he said he had to do something to give himself a chance, and he saw her as the chance he needed. Of course, it didn't help one bit.

The NAACP continually perpetuates the stereotype that you have to meet certain criteria to be authentically black. It's an extension of a sub set within black culture that to be authentically black you have to be immersed in popular black culture. Both of these attitudes are repressive and perpetuate racism in America. Simply, to be authentically black in the eyes of the NAACP you have to be liberal politically. I really don't fully understand why that has anything to do with ethnic authenticity. Most black conservatives who are spokespeople for conservatism are self made with strong support from strong families. They are people with no boundaries who don't feel limited by color. Spokespeople for black liberalism see themselves as black first who see liberalism as a way to force legal measures along racial boundaries. As a white guy who is outside looking in, I appreciate blacks who treat me as an equal rather than someone whose ancestors suppressed their ancestors. I am a second generation of Norwegian descent and the only people my ancestors suppressed were Saxons for God sake.

I believe if there were more black conservatives there would be less racism and I'm glad there are people like Tim Scott, Mia Love, Herman Cain and Condi Rice as examples of what's right with America.

Your smart ass remarks don't sit well with a South Carolinian who KNOWS how much Nikki Haley and Tim Scott's performance and behavior-in-office have been discussed by the voters here, and how well-regarded both are.


The way you talk you probably haven't been in the South since Nixon.
