I don't really see why the unemployment rate is relevant.
It's not...
It's not...
They're not growing they're expanding... A balloon can stretch right? inflate it with air it expands - get it?
U-6 numbers got smaller. I don't know how simpler I can make this for you.
What a crock - it's growing exponentially- especially kids coming to working age that cant find a job, and even those who take any job they can for cash under the table..
This is the worst US economic disaster I have experienced or ever read about...
But yeah keep on defending these clowns in government that think they know whats best for everyone.
The U-6...that dirty little secret that Obama, the Democrats and their apologists don't want you to think about.
Why should anyone care about it? I don't care that Joe Nobody doesn't like mopping floors. Why should I lump him in with unemployed people just because he doesn't like his job? And its certainly not the responsibility of the President to set you up with a job you like.
When Obama and his Democrat buddies set things up so that all Joe Nobody can find to do is mopping floors, then yes...they are responsible.
If the only job Joe Nobody can manage to get hired into since the Great Recession is mopping floors then it is safe to assume that he is either too lazy to look for a different job or that is all he is qualified to do. Thats another reason why so-called "underemployment" is irrelevant. Joe Nobody might think he should be in a higher paying position but the people who actually do the employing obviously do not think him qualified.
Or...nobody is hiring for the higher paying job he is qualified for.
THAT'S what the Congressional Democrats...and Obama...have done for him.

The heroes of the right, Beck, Levin, Limbauh ALL say there are TONS of jobs in North Dakota with fast food workers getting almost $18 an hour and many jobs that are making 6 figures. Are they ALL lying? Please tell us.
I agree partially with your assessment that government has a hand in this situation, I disagree with your opinion that it is solely the Democrats. This ABC news article discusses Republican roles in job outsourcing.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Senate has rejected further consideration of a bill Democrats say would have eliminated existing tax breaks for employers who ship their jobs overseas. While Republicans sought to squash it as political theater, Democrats admit quarreling over the “Bring Jobs Home Act” was openly influenced by the 2012 presidential campaign.
“It’s fairly easy to see why Republicans are blocking our bill to stop outsourcing,” Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said at a press conference before the vote. “They’re obviously defending their presidential nominee, who of course made a fortune by shipping jobs overseas.”

You listen to those guys regularly?
I listen to all sides of radio and politics. I don't think anyone anywhere can make an informed decision without seeing what those on different sides are thinking. No matter how outlandish.
However, the right generally is in sync when it comes to jobs in North Dakota listening and reading the news from that side.
I can't listen to anyone that partisan. Ever. On either side. Closest I come to that masochistic act is watching Al Sharpton for ****s and giggles.
Agreed about Rev. Al.Al is a riot only from the perspective of "How much dumber can he be?". Which usually gets answered fairly quickly.
But yes, listening and reading right-wing raido and sites, they generally agree that North Dakota is a boom for jobs if people move there. The'yre unemployment is the lowest in the country at 2.8 % so something is ringing true no matter how much I don't like those guys on the right.
Agreed about Rev. Al.
One thing is for sure, the absolute fact is that economies like ND are doing well despite the policies of the current administration because of private capital, business, and land.
Obama wants to say that his policies are on the ballot this Nov. while demos running run from them, won't invite him to their states, and in the case of KY, outright lie to the voters about their true agendas.
Obama and progressives have done more to ensure that they lose for a generation than anything I can think other than repubs cowaring and not having a coherent message of course.
This election should be a no brainer, but it will be unnecessarily close.
Well, I dont know about any, but many are severely under employed, that's troubling. But I agree on both, going to where the job is, and repubs not being strong and resolute in their principles. My point being in a previous post a poster said nobody can find ANY jobs. Move to ND then and there are jobs. I agree Obama's policies have hurt the U.S. which is why I didn't vote for him. However, with that said, the Republicans have NOT proven themselves to be any better, just a different side of the same coin. They want to use big government to be morality police.
