NFL said it was a bad call and bad calls happen in a game.

Let the cries of faux religious persecution begin.
Give a man a fish and he can eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he can sit in a boat, drinking beer all day while you fool around with his Woman.

NFL: Chiefs safety Husain Abdullah should not have been penalized

Here is my thing. There are plenty of Christian players who go down to their knees and thank God (which is good) without getting penalize. This guy does the same thing and gets hit.
I didn't say it was a good call. I just said that the flag wasn't for praying.

Thread is not about a Christian.

Christian players have been penalized, too.

Perhaps the ref had no idea he was praying as opposed to being theatrical? I haven't read the story, but I generally don't rule out ignorance as the cause of a mistake.

If the ref thought it was showboating he wasn't far wrong.

If you think that no Christian player ever knelt down in the end zone, you haven't been watching football very long. If it makes you feel better:

There's Tebow in the endzone. The rule, according to the NFL, has a religious exemption and the league has said that Abdullah shouldn't have been penalized.
