Well here is one thing BO brought up at the UN.....what do you think of this little speech. While Lavrov sat there catching it all. Do the Russians even think he is serious? What about those watching BO make moves to get rid of Assad? What say ye?

US President Barack Obama denounced Russian aggression in Europe at the United Nations on Wednesday, but proferred a hand to Moscow by offering to lift sanctions if Russia changes course. "We will impose a cost on Russia for aggression," he said. But the US president said a recent ceasefire agreement in Ukraine offers an opening towards diplomacy and peace.

"If Russia takes that path -- a path that for stretches of the post-Cold War period resulted in prosperity for the Russian people -- then we will lift our sanctions and welcome Russia's role in addressing common challenges." He said Russia and the United States had cooperated in the past, from reducing nuclear stockpiles to removing and destroying Syria's declared chemical weapons. "And that’s the kind of cooperation we are prepared to pursue again -- if Russia changes course," Obama said.....snip~

I would think the Russians are mostly ignoring him because he bores them, and anyone that is listening is thinking he's a hypocrite given the US is bombing Syria and Iraq.

"what say ye"

Until that moron by the name of Putin is beheaded on the streets Russia will never change its course.

Yeah I was really impressed as the Russian thugs has the audacity to mock him while he spoke. If you have any ounce of respect for this country, if you are an American, that should infuriate you even if you don't agree with your president.

I think we know who will get the last laugh as Russia's economy continues to tank.

Thugs always get their due in the end.

Well the last thing Putin is thinking about.....is having cooperation with BO and his Team. But with our action in Syria.....how do you think BO looks with the Brits and others refusing to Bomb ISIS in Syria.

Doesn't infuriate me at all, Obama is a clown. That said, let's not be under any illusion.... the cold war never really ended, and Russia remains our #1 geopolitical rival.

I'm more concerned with their meddling in Iran and Syria than I am with Ukraine. Especially Iran, which I see as the big prize.

This president doesn't have the fortitude, the brains, and the experience to challenge Russia on Iran. Hopefully the next president does.

The Europeans don't want to bomb ISIS because they've got a LOT more Muslims in their countries (percentage-wise) than we do...and it's a LOT easier for terrorists to get into continental Europe than it is for them to come here.

They agree with Obama that this is something that the Muslim nations in the region need to work together to solve...which is precisely what Obama's trying to make happen. He may or may not succeed, but it's a heck of a lot better (and FAR cheaper in terms of blood and treasure) than sending in 140,000 ground troops for another endless war.

Heya Glen. :2wave: Well we would be stupid to send in the bulk of any ground troops in the first place. As this is everyones problem and not just ours. Still.....all clandestine people should be removing any of these Terrorists they come across.

Moreover Assad should know when we stop bombing and then should roll in and mop up.

Also I am not against Mercs going in and hunting them down.

Still, this would not change on how we appear in giving aid to the MB backed Syrian Rebels to help them take out Assad.

No surprise there considering the history of your posts.

Myself I stood behind Bush when we were at war even if I didn't agree with him. And I was expecting to be deployed at any time.

It's easy to sit behind your computer and trash your president much to the elation of our enemies, but we have men and women putting their lives on the line, so I find that a line I won't step over. Didn't with Bush anyway. I guess I'm old fashioned that way.

If a country cowers because they are afraid of retaliation it doesn't say much for their leader. Sure is a different Britain than under Churchill. And you can't blame our president for that.

I believe Putin is already on record pointing out the hypocrisy of Obama even before Obama started bombing Syria and Iraq.

Well BO can be blamed for backing the Sunni MB backed Syrian Rebels.....that's a given.

Of course he is. Wouldn't you expect him too? Russia's the master when it comes to propaganda. And you fell for it hook, line, and sinker. Is there anywhere you won't go to put down our president?

So you're saying going after some sick garbage that is whacking American heads, invading Iraq, and terrorizing people is no different than supporting rebels in a sovereign country and invading it?

Are we invading Syria or are we going have vermin in their country? Assad has to be secretly happy we are knocking out his opposition to some extent. Do you think the leader of Ukraine is happy about Putin's actions?

Apples and oranges much?

No it isn't. Link?

I seem to remember the republicans screaming from the rooftops we need to arm the rebels, we need to arm the rebels, we need to do something, and Obama being hesitant saying some of these people are even worse than Assad and not on our side. McCain and Graham were the biggest screamers.

And now you have to audacity to blame him for arming the rebels?

You people get more ridiculous all the time!

Truly you have no clue as to what you are talking about. BO has been sending Aid to the Sunni Backed MB Syrian Rebels when Hillary was having her friends of Syria Meetings which goes back to 2012. Try looking it up rather than showing just how much you don't know.

Oh and here.....from a current news piece. Which doesn't count any of the rest.

A Syrian rebel group that has reportedly received weapons from the United States criticised air strikes Tuesday by a US-led coalition against jihadists in the war-torn country. The Hazm Movement, in a statement posted on their Twitter account, said the strikes would undermine the armed opposition and benefit President Bashar al-Assad's regime. They described the strikes as "an attack on national sovereignty that undermines the Syrian revolution".

The Hazm Movement is among a small number of rebel groups reported to have received US weapons earlier this year, and was among those cited by US Secretary of State John Kerry last week as likely to receive US arms and training in coming months. Syria's opposition National Coalition, a key political grouping, welcomed the US-led strikes on Tuesday, but also urged the international community to keep up pressure on Assad.....snip~

Do try and keep up with the events that have taken place and were facts. That which you can't get around, nor change. No matter how much BO wishes it so.

Wait... you claiming national pride? :lamo I gotta say when Obama talks I mock him too.

Thugs always get their due in the end.

That they do. No argument there.

Who the hell is BO? Why should I respond to someone that can't even use the president of the United State's full name?

As far as the rebels not happy about the targets tough ****. What are we supposed to do go around and get a grocery list? And as usual your response doesn't mean much. You first chastise the president for being some big arms supplier in Syria and this is all you can come up with?

I'm keeping up quite well. It's you that is grasping for straws.

Because you well and fully know who BO is and why should I reply to someone who doesn't even capitalize the United States when they type it? See how foolish and petty that sounds....

Yeah I'm supposed to take someone seriously that had something up his nose? But then having an avatar like that probably shows you mock everyone including yourself. How are old are you chronologically? Why is your maturity lagging?

I'm 47 in a month in a half. I find humor is better than ugly bitterness. So you didn't like my answer and feel the need to attack me personally. Who's lagging in maturity here? :lamo

That's all you got pencil head? LMAO.

Btw I'm on an Ipad. It has a mind if its own and I have to come back and make corrections.

BO to hard to figure out what the Initials stand for, huh.

That's not the point about them being happy the point is about them receiving weapons last year. Oh and rather than you try and change up with what words you think people use. Lets stick to yours.

You said that BO didn't supply the Rebels with Arms. You lied.....you were wrong.

So the only one grasping for straws.....was you. While not noticing which one broke that camel's back. So much for your keeping up on the issue. But at least you gave it the cub scout try. ;)

I'd say we've gotten ourselves into quite the little pickle here.

We've actively supported the rebels trying to oust Assad while Russia has historically supported him. Now with the emergence of ISIS, Russia, Assad, AND the US seem to have a common enemy.

Perhaps when the Russians intervened on behalf of Assad during that chemical weapons/"red line" situation a while back they knew something we didn't?

Heya Jack. :2wave: Yeah and when the 29 opposition groups pledged against us. Their commanders admitted that they would give the weapons to al Nusra. Since they were the ones taking the fight to Assad.

That was back when Idris of the FSA said they would make sure the weapons didn't fall into radicals hands.

Yep, and these Terrorists are everybodys enemy.
