Hundreds Of Thousands Turn Out For People's Climate March In New York City

NEW YORK -- More than 300,000 people turned out for the People's Climate Marchin New York City on Sunday, just days before many of the world's leaders are expected to debate environmental action at the United Nations climate summit.
Early reports from event organizers are hailing the turnout as the largest climate march in history, far bigger than the Forward on Climate rally held in Washington, D.C., last year. High-profile environmentalists including Bill McKibben, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jane Goodall and Vandana Shiva marched alongside policymakers such as Sens. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.), Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.). U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and former Vice President Al Gore were also there, and more than 550 buses carried in people from around the country.

Quite possible the biggest climate march in history was held today in NYC! But what they are protesting for (policy changes to offset climate change), is all a farce!

Will that be before or after the waters recede from covering Long Island? Long Island has been covered with water from melting Arctic ice the last 20 years , right? The "Global Warming" lemmings sure are cute.

Hmm... I guess you need a march and social pressure when you don't have facts.

Hmm... Are you saying there's no evidence that the world's climate is warming?

I see nothing inherently wrong with this. I do believe global warming is a thing, but that does not mean that the government should do anything. If these people stopped petitioning the Government to step in and regulate and appeal straight to the companies that they believe are ruining the environment, this could be fought much more effectively. The US government can only do so much. If, on the other hand, people work together to force the hand of large corporations by using market forces, then this issue could be solved much more efficiently.
