Hundreds Of Thousands Turn Out For People's Climate March In New York City

Umm, does anyone happen to notice there are 8.16 million people populating just that one very liberal city. Even if the entire crowd is from there it only represents a small part of, again, that one very liberal city.

Don't forget, they brought 550 buses of what are most likely professional protesters!

Quite possible the biggest climate march in history was held today in NYC! But what they are protesting for (policy changes to offset climate change), is all a farce! :lamo

So what are all the people demanding? The US is shutting down industries, putting people out of work, hurting the poor and most needy, and raising prices on goods and services, all to address Climate Change.

Do they even know what they are marching for?

I see nothing inherently wrong with this. I do believe global warming is a thing, but that does not mean that the government should do anything. If these people stopped petitioning the Government to step in and regulate and appeal straight to the companies that they believe are ruining the environment, this could be fought much more effectively. The US government can only do so much. If, on the other hand, people work together to force the hand of large corporations by using market forces, then this issue could be solved much more efficiently.

The problem is that truly making a difference in Co2 emissions requires some sacrifices on the part of people and corporations. Sacrifice is not popular even if it is necessary. Traditional market forces will not work in reducing Co2 emissions, governments must step in.

Crap article from a right wing rag about a pissed off taxi driver and a single tweet.

and sweeping unsupported generalization

wow apdst, let's all stand in awe of your intellectual ability

Wow! A personal attack! I'm shocked! :lamo

Why is the liberal response always "more government?"

And a Million people showed up at the Vatican to see who would be the next Pope... would you call that a farce??
No, just another way of showing many people do not have better things to do in life. Probably why you see so few events like this from conservatives. I always have better things to do then go to some public rally.

Well then, since government itself is a rather large consumer group, let them lead by example. Let them require all government employees and elected officials make those sacrifices.

Oh I love it.

Ride a bicycle, or walk to work!

Point being the number of people showing up doesn't make something vaild or true. Essentially it amounts to squat, regardless of how many thousands showed up for a rally.;)

I'm bummed that I missed this. I was sick yesterday. :(

"Climate Justice"? Seriously?

Oh hey look, "Climate Justice" is wealth redistribution... now it makes sense.

Look, guys, this was a Socialist rally, not a climate rally. Just accept it.

Granted, you can't tell the Socialists from the Climate alarmists anymore.
