Booker's approach on this bill is hilarious:

    OFFICIAL TITLE AS INTRODUCED:
A bill to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to eliminate the specific exemption for professional football leagues and to provide a special rule for other professional sports leagues, and to provide an additional authorization of appropriations for the Family Violence Prevention and Services Act.
I'm quite surprised he didn't add additional appropriations for the Prevention of Using Immigrant Children for Livestock Food Act.

Tres made a reference to other things, you went off on a whole diatribe about McConnell.
Most folks don't call Present Moment Awareness a diatribe--so yer wrong again.
If you want to debate my thoughtfulness on a subject, then I await your wisdom.
As soon as you present some of that thoughtfulness, let me know.
Until then, I'll be expecting your continued drive-bys.
You and others are just licking your chops about taxing the NFL and others have pointed out that teams and players pay all their taxes
You have never seen me say this so stop putting words in my mouth and lying.
If Mr. Booker is going after just the league, then I need to see the language so that
I can evaluate its impact on other groups also except under the same tax code.
    I'll anticipate your learned knowledge.

"How has your day been"? "Did you hear what Mitch McConnell said now"?--not a very interesting conversation.
It is with 48 days to go--and what does Mitch think of this topic in the Senate--besides his usual filibusters?

But to finish, you go well beyond anything you accuse of me.
I now know how to speak back to people like you .

I still await a post from actually on this topic. I'm not driving by, I'm right here responding to your posts.

Present Moment Awareness seems more like Tourette's Syndrome to me.

You are correct, you did not specifically say on this thread that you wanted to tax the NFL, but you did accuse them of blocking NJ from having sports better. That is Federal Law, not the NFL gets to determine that, but yet, the NFL is on record as not supporting this. I accept your correction.

My day doesn't hinge on what Mitch McConnell thinks, says or does. Perhaps you can post his opinion on when he does express an opinion. As I understand it, I think we have to know what Mr. Reid thinks about the topic. He does control the agenda in the Senate. When either of them express an opinion, why don't you get back to us?

From the best I can tell, there are no people like me here.

Keep Calm and have a nice day.

Yep. Maybe it should have been additional appropriations for library books.

I don't think so. I doubt taxing the NFL will generate much if any revenue.
