Sarah Palin isn't a professional politician. Like most Republicans who are elected to public office, they have a career or trade to fall back on or go back to in the private sector after serving in an elected position. Most Democrats don't.

Thanks to all of the attention the progressive liberals had given Sarah Palin after the 2008 elections, I doubt Sarah or Todd ever have to pull in commercial fishing nets again to pay the bills.

Palin like Clint Eastwood both ran for mayor of their hometowns because they were pissed off at local government and wanted to make some changes.

Sarah Palin isn't a politician no more than Clint Eastwood or that guy with the German accent from Austria. They don't need to live off the tax payers.

I can see from posters here the why of Palin allowing the Lt. Governor to take over is not important.

We can extend that to Obama quitting his job as state Senator, the why is not important.

Obama is a quitter.
 
If Palin is the media whore everybody thinks she is, why hasn't she, or anybody in her family, made any statements about this incident?

I mean shouldn't she be running to get in front of a camera?

One thing Obama never stopped being was being a community organizer.

Community organizers are agitators, they divide and cause trouble to further a political agenda.

Like you, I do find it interesting that an investigation was even started let alone is still on-going since 9/14/2014. But as I said in my last post, what intrigues me more is the fact that someone lost their job just for going public and telling their account of events. That tells me that somebody got pissed for speaking out against the Palins. I didn't see the GMA bit, but if nothing negative was said about the guy's employer(s) or the business itself, why fire the man? Makes you wonder why?

Just think what would have happened when Governor Reagan while at a party and one of his Hollywood limousine liberal friends handed him a joint, you know, Mary Jane, reefer, the "gate way to the kiss of death" (heroine). Ronny took a few hits and said "I don't see what the big deal is all about."

Just think if that got out when Ronald Reagan was Governor. :thinking

We all would be speaking Russian today and Barack Obama would be sweeping the streets with one of those Ruskie brooms on the South Side of Chicago.

If you are referring to the Marine barracks bombing in Beirut in 83, the Reagan administration responded with the largest air strike since the Vietnam War from the entire CAW of the carrier USS Kennedy.


Lessons learned, U.S. Marines and soldiers should never be used as peace keepers. The purpose of the U.S. military is to kill and blow **** up not for peace keeping or being used for social engineering.

Eric Thompson, was an employee of McKenna Bros. Paving and this party had been held partly for company owners Marc and Matthew McKenna, so there's a chance that the McKenna Bros did not take a liking to the fact that their employee took the story to several media outlets along with their company name. So I'll reserve my judgment for who got Thompson fired, until we know more facts about who was involved in the fight.

I was lucky I didn't drop out that semester. College wasn't as expensive back then as it is today but one still had to hold down a job at the same time unless you had rich parents and you depended on your rich parents.

Can't figure out how Obama did it ? Cocaine was also expensive back then.

I seem to remember a Marine officer (a major I believe ?) who wore the blue helmet and was captured. Eventually he was murdered.

On paper it looks like wearing the blue helmet is TAD. (Temporary Assigned Duty ) But technically if you are no longer with in the military chain of command, is it TAD ?

I went back to college when I was 47 and got my Bachelor of Science degree when I was 50, University of Houston. It didn't do me much good, I ended up staying in the machine shop. But, like you said, it takes time. I went to school sometimes four times a week and then took some classes on Saturday. I worked full time while I was doing this. I didn't have rich parents. Maybe you are just looking for a rational excuse for why you quit.
