>" By now, just about the whole world has heard about the Sarah Palin family brawl at a birthday party last week. The stories vary little in the details, while the level of ridicule poked at the famous family varies with the publication. But like most stories, there’s usually another side. The Palin family side is now beginning to emerge. And it’s a pretty different picture than the one sprawled all over the media.

While there has been no comment as of yet from anyone in Sarah Palin’s family, “a source close to the Palin family” has spoken with Real Clear Politics, because he “wanted to provide their version of the events in question.” Some of the details are common to both versions of the events, but several key points diverge significantly from the media narrative.

There was a big shin-dig at somebody’s house in Anchorage, and it was a birthday party. On this point, all versions agree. The hosts were Matt and Marc McKenna, according to the NY Times, and they were celebrating their birthday. Todd Palin was celebrating the big 5-0 as well. There was live music and dancing, and several members of the Palin family were present. Also in attendance were some competitive snowmobile racers, besides Marc McKenna and Todd Palin.

There's a question to ask, think about it.

>" Was this the drunken free-for-all with the Palin family front and center, as the media has portrayed? Or is this a case of one member of Sarah Palin’s family being jumped, with the rest of the family coming to the defense of one of their own? What do you believe will emerge as the true version of the brawl? Also, if the Palin family source is correct, consider the implications of how this Mama Bear Sarah Palin in the White House might have responded differently to ISIS beheading two of our American civilians, and decorated Marine veteran Sgt. Tahmooressi being held in the Mexican prison.

There you have it, people. Apparently, how you handle drunken brawls give some sort of insight into geopolitical decision making. It's like every post Apacherat makes is a parody of what rabid right wingers would say. I don't believe he really is a conservative. There's just no way a person could subconsciously shut off the part of their brain dealing with non-sequiturs to the extent that they actually think screaming "Do you know who he is!" or "Do you know who I am?" have any relevance to decision making on a global scale. He's mocking extremist right wingers and having a good chuckle.

Remarkable piece of observation there Hatuey ...

..................................................

Not being an eyewitness to the situation I cannot comment on the event.

I do find commendable the coalescence of family in adverse circumstances. If one has a problem they all come together to help in the solution.

:eek:t

As an aside, I find sad the posted info has not been addressed but the poster has been attacked for providing another's differing report.

Have a great day A-R

The first response to a news story that has a different account than what the MSM is running with and not one comment about the topic.

Either you have a reading comprehensive problem or you never took the time to read the entire article.

Instead you go after the person who posted the news story who's only comment or words that were used in the OP (original post) were 13 words.

>" it gets better"
>"comment"<
>"There's a question to ask, think about it."<

In layman terms those are the only words that were used in the OP that were my words.

So the evidence seems to point to three possibilities.

1.) Reading comprehension problem.
2.) Hate monger
3.) Or (fill in the blank, a five letter word and it begins with a "t.")

Thread drift with the first post, ****ing unbelievable.

I commented on your analysis of the story. It's laughable to say the least.

I did, took it with a grain of salt as it came from an unknown source close to the Palins.

Still having trouble with realizing I commented on your analysis of the story.

You honestly believe Palin's unnamed source and your analysis of the event is something that should be taken seriously? Careful Apacherat, you're buying into your own illusion.

This more or sums up where conservative ideology currently finds itself. In the fun house.

Hey Thom Paine :2wave:

What caught my eye in the article, as we have been reading in the other accounts of the brawl was that Bristol Palin threw some "right hooks" but Bristol Palin is a southpaw !!! So the original account starts loosing credibility.

Cut and run, like Reagan did when US servicemen were killed and taken hostage?

We'll never really know what kind of president Palin would make because the only way that she'll ever be in the White House is as a guest.

But we do know that she quit her job as governor of Alaska halfway through her term and went to work for Fox News. That is a fact.

Quitters never win.

Yeah, I noticed the same.

I've come to distrust any media reports for the first three days after any event... they no longer are the guardians; but National Enquirer/Entertainment Tonight ... if it bleeds it leads.. splash and dash BS purveyors.

It is an interesting "other side" article .. thanks for the post

Great day to ya' A-R

It seems no charges have been filed against anyone. Has the actual police report been published ?

Just wondering

You know what the French say ?

Those silly Americans, always making a mountain out of a molehill.

Watergate, a blowjob in the Oval Office, a Governor who hit the jack pot and decided to quit her job.

This is my favorite rightwing spin on the cretinous antics of the Alaskan Tina Fey lookalike ever. Bar none.

I really don't care!

The Palins jumped into the Public Media goldfish bowl with both feet. There is a price. NO privacy.
They made the News. Again. They probably figure they're doing something right. They're in the Media.

If pissing off liberal progressives is the goal, Sarah is doing it right.

The loony left should have just allowed Sarah to fade away after November of 2008. But as usual the left ****ed up again.

Because of the left not being able to distance themselves from Sarah, she has a loyal following that votes.

You know, I am not going to read the attached article because I simply do not give a fiddler's damn. I did not read the original account either. Anything involving a Palin is going to be ridiculed even when it has been found she was 100% right, and dear progressives, please sit down, take a deep breath...Sarah Palin was right about Paul Revere warning the British.

Anything involving the Palin's will also be highly exaggerated and usually untrue. The American progressive movement is so obsessed with this woman, they shred their own panties at the mention of her name.

That is what I find most amusing, the vindictive hatred the left has for a woman who has never held national office, has not been in public life for several years, still draws an outsized, passionate and somewhat insane reaction.

On the one hand the progressives go ape**** over the fact she resigned he governorship early, while at the same time claiming she destroyed Alaska as governor.

So, when it comes to the Palins, the details of what's being said have no meaning for me, 80% of it is hyperbolic bull**** and the rest is over-the-top rhetoric about a woman who has never even voted on a national law. What does count for me is the instant hatred generated by her name, usually the first post in a thread is an instant attack either on the defenders of Palin, or some generalized blather about the "extreme right" or "TEABAGGERS"

Start a thread where Sarah Palin name is mentioned and you just sit back and watch the thread drift and all of the hate mongers coming out in force.

They start threads with her name and then go on to bitch that she's a household name. I don't know if that's irony or just plain post idiocy.
