The tree existed that man might have free will to choose between good and evil, as is necessary for supernatural salvation.

Whatever it takes to justify your beliefs I suppose, but since there's not a shred of proof any of this is real and going back to the OP... a statue is just a statue (by the way idols were banned by the 10 commandments, so the actual statue could be considered a sin in the first place depending on how strict you are) we'll refrain from charging the boy with blasphemy.

The only reason this law even exists is due to unconstitutional preference being given to religious mores. There was no damage to property, so no vandalism, so no real harm. No one should pay for someone else's subjective offense. Especially not over religion.

Goes both ways there son. Christianity isn't above criticism either, blasphemy included. I don't subscribe to your God and in THIS country, we don't have a state run religion. If you want blasphemy to be illegal, there are a ton of third world countries that would agree with you. Look to THEM to find a home because America isn't for you.

Every country in the history of the world until a few hundred years ago had an official religion. Things will return to that state.

It may not be in my lifetime, but it's only a matter of time.
