Boy Charged For Desecration Of Jesus Statue | The Smoking Gun

According to State Police officials, the boy posed for the photos in late-July in front of Love In the Name of Christ, a Christian organization in Everett, the boy’s hometown.

I find it disgusting that this is a misdemeanor. It ought to be punished by imprisonment.

I'm not nearly as concerned about teenage simulated statue rape as you are apparently.

I am not sure why it is a crime even. AS best I can tell, he did not harm the statue in any way, he simply posed for a picture with it.

We have laws against statutory rape!

Sorry, but some one was going to do it...

Seeing it is a just thing with God to repay tribulation to them that trouble you

What a waste of law enforcement time.

I'm concerned with open and public blasphemy.

WTF??? Desecration??? When did that become a law here in the US? A Christian version of Sharia??? Seriously?

I'm not sure why you're babbling about sharia, but yes, there is a little bit of sanity left in America.

blasphemy is not a crime

how was any 1 troubled?

It ought to be.

And now you understand the reference to Sharia Law. Unfortunately for you, we have a first amendment. Gosh darn rights...

maybe the statue had a do not touch sign? that would be a bit more substantial then blasphemy

if your one some one else's property by invitation and your told not to touch their stuff and refuse that seems wrong at least

maybe it has a do not mount sign?
