Seems to me you're very willing to put down your neighbor's leader yet tug/hide behind the skirt of protection he provides all the while condemning him for not doing things your way. When the song "Blame Canada" plays I want you to understand what I blame you for at this point: resting on your laurels while enjoying the very "peace through strength" America provides.

Must be a political strategy, he's got to be loosing support with his evolution. I suppose he figures that he's wining it elsewhere.

He has already articulated that US intervention/interference in Syria has emboldened and strengthened IS, he should stick with that message. Prevention is cheaper, and more credible then continual cause and effect diplomacy.

It may come as a surprise to you, but there aren't enough rich to soak for every idea that may pop into your head.

Yep. All the more reason that decades of US policy to support militant Islamic groups has been a failure depending on where you sit. Defense contractors are happy recipients of this practice, for one.

Imagine the economic stimulus we could have provided by spending that money at home. Republicans love spending as long as it doesn't benefit americans.

I won't argue with you - I was simply countering a poster who was criticizing Paul for not identifying how he'd pay for his proposal.

Re: Rand Paul: As president I would 'destroy ISIS militarily[W:20]

With Paul, I get the feeling that if Obama had been against helping the Libyan uprising, he would have been for a strong military intervention, and if Obama had been for bombing ISIS into the stone age, he'd be against it, and vice versa. Ping-pong conservatism is all the rage.
