St.Louis Area Cop Thinks Protestors Should Be 'Put Down Like Rabid Dogs'[W:69:81]

Re: St.Louis Area Cop Thinks Protestors Should Be 'Put Down Like Rabid Dogs'

We are anti-cop-criminal. You know, the kind who shoot unarmed people down in the streets.

A cop just like any civilian under the law can use lethal force when he or she reasonably feels their life is being threaten or is in fear of great bodily harm.

If the unarmed criminal who had just committed a strong arm robbery and had just shattered the eye socket of the officer inflicting great bodily harm and then after fleeing and turned around and was advancing on the officer, what the **** would you do ? Dial 911 ? :lamo

Re: St.Louis Area Cop Thinks Protestors Should Be 'Put Down Like Rabid Dogs'

He is wrong. They should build a perimeter and let the 'protesters' have an absolute ball for about 2 weeks.

The officer didn't know about the strong arm robbery, the officer doesn't have a shattered eye socket, and Mr. Brown wasn't advancing on the officer. Any more falsehoods you care to share?

And Brown was shot in the back and was on his knees with his hands raised, you know, the universal sign of surrender. :lamo

This comes after St. Louis Post-Dispatch reporter tweeted out last night that a dozen local witnesses confirmed Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson’s version of the Brown shooting story."<

Re: St.Louis Area Cop Thinks Protestors Should Be 'Put Down Like Rabid Dogs'

I agree with this - I also don't think that a police officer should be killed while doing their job, but we all know that sometimes happens and sometimes it's because they gave the guy acting stupidly the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, from what we read on the internet a few people couldn't care less.

The only way to avoid that is to not give anyone the benefit of anything.

The "Orbital Blowout" may not have happened. I wouldn't expect you to care about the truth, but we don't know that it happened.

I do remember on day one it was reported that officer Wilson was in the hospital receiving treatment for some kind of treatment.

Maybe officer Wilson strained a ligament in his trigger finger ? These officers should be trained not to jerk the trigger when on the rapid fire line.

Re: St.Louis Area Cop Thinks Protestors Should Be 'Put Down Like Rabid Dogs'

So, sincerely, do you think that it didn't?

I just don't understand why so many folks are rushing to judgment. There have been so many contradictory reports that it seems foolish to me for any of us to be certain. Yet.

Actually, I'd say the only way to avoid it is for everyone to follow the provisions of the law but more importantly for everyone to respect each other and each other's property and space. But we both know that's not going to happen anytime soon.

Re: St.Louis Area Cop Thinks Protestors Should Be 'Put Down Like Rabid Dogs'

A cop who has this opinion has no business being a cop. Yes, those breaking the law, looting, throwing molotov's, shooting at police should be arrested and the book thrown at them to the fullest extent of the law. They do NOT deserve to be put down like rabid dogs because they are not rabid dogs.

If we only hired PC cops, we would have perhaps 10% of our force.

That would be good, we have too many thugs pretending they are cops right now.

Re: St.Louis Area Cop Thinks Protestors Should Be 'Put Down Like Rabid Dogs'

The only murder here is the one committed by the police department.

Throwing heavy items and Molotov cocktails is attempted murder or at least manslaughter or felony assault.

Yea, there are thugs out there, but 99% of cops are honest. The main problem is that many cops come out of the military, and have a military mindset when it comes to quelling disturbances. Add all the military equipment that police forces are now getting, and they become an occupying force, rather than "protect and serve". Military experience is an asset to a police officer, but is not a good thing when the department itself becomes militarized. I would say that many of the officers in St. Louis have good intentions, but like any group of people, they themselves can adopt a mob mentality. And when that happens, all hell breaks loose. I had my own experience with a bad cop, back in 2009, when I was railroaded on false DWI charges. It took two years to get the conviction overturned, and get it wiped off my record, and it only happened because the cop did the same thing to a woman who just happened to be a secretary at the Houston FBI office. The town of Tomball's police force is still under Federal supervision for that, and the cop in question was investigated by a grand jury and charged with official oppression. He is still on probation for it. He was also fired, and his captain was demoted. The irony here is that, although I wasn't drunk the day he busted me, I had been sick and hadn't slept in 3 days. I almost fell asleep at the wheel, and that bust probably saved my life.

When did Brown do these things?

When did Brown do these things?
He just didn't listen to the cop and decided to beat on him.

Stupid is as stupid does.

I honestly don't know whether it did or didn't. There are contradictory reports, and I agree that it's foolish to rush to judgement. But I think that in the interest in seeking the truth, it's important to consider that it may not have.

It's possible that he was, but it's also possible that it wasn't a catastrophic injury. There are contradictory reports as to whether that happened exactly like that or not.

Well that is true, but I don't like the idea of a police force that shoots first and asks questions later.

From what I'm hearing, those who claimed to have been witnesses and and claimed that Michael Brown was shot in the back, was on his knees and had his hands in the air in the "international surrender" stance, wasn't in a conformation trying to grab officers Wilson's service pistol while Wilson was still seated inside of his patrol car are now changing their stories when being interviewed by FBI agents.

Kind of weird, you can lie to local cops and detectives but it's a federal crime to lie to federal officers and those in the hood know it.

Re: St.Louis Area Cop Thinks Protestors Should Be 'Put Down Like Rabid Dogs'

Looting, rioting and attempted murder aren't protected acts.

Those committing crimes don't speak for all the protesters!

Re: St.Louis Area Cop Thinks Protestors Should Be 'Put Down Like Rabid Dogs'

Both your statements may be true - however stupid people in this case, a stupid cop making a stupid comment furthers that agenda and puts a spotlight on it. A cop who has this opinion has no business being a cop. Yes, those breaking the law, looting, throwing molotov's, shooting at police should be arrested and the book thrown at them to the fullest extent of the law. They do NOT deserve to be put down like rabid dogs because they are not rabid dogs.

We put way too much emphasis on emotive responses to real life which gets everyone in more trouble and simply incites yet more emotive responses, leaving a vicious circle of violence that leads to nothing positive and no way to heal and move on. "Stupid is as stupid does" really does apply here.

Great comment!!

How'd you come up with that 99% number?

You don't lie to the FBI.

No ****.

I don't know the exact number of how many law abiding citizens are sitting in a federal prison and the only crime they committed was to lie to a FBI agent while being interviewed. But there are a lot of people behind bars today for just lying to a fed.
