I just don't understand why so many folks are rushing to judgment. There have been so many contradictory reports that it seems foolish to me for any of us to be certain. Yet.
I honestly don't know whether it did or didn't. There are contradictory reports, and I agree that it's foolish to rush to judgement. But I think that in the interest in seeking the truth, it's important to consider that it may not have.

Maybe officer Wilson strained a ligament in his trigger finger ? These officers should be trained not to jerk the trigger when on the rapid fire line.
It's possible that he was, but it's also possible that it wasn't a catastrophic injury. There are contradictory reports as to whether that happened exactly like that or not.

Well that is true, but I don't like the idea of a police force that shoots first and asks questions later.

From what I'm hearing, those who claimed to have been witnesses and and claimed that Michael Brown was shot in the back, was on his knees and had his hands in the air in the "international surrender" stance, wasn't in a conformation trying to grab officers Wilson's service pistol while Wilson was still seated inside of his patrol car are now changing their stories when being interviewed by FBI agents.

Kind of weird, you can lie to local cops and detectives but it's a federal crime to lie to federal officers and those in the hood know it.

We put way too much emphasis on emotive responses to real life which gets everyone in more trouble and simply incites yet more emotive responses, leaving a vicious circle of violence that leads to nothing positive and no way to heal and move on. "Stupid is as stupid does" really does apply here.
    Great comment!!

Add all the military equipment that police forces are now getting, and they become an occupying force, rather than "protect and serve". Military experience is an asset to a police officer, but is not a good thing when the department itself becomes militarized. I would say that many of the officers in St. Louis have good intentions, but like any group of people, they themselves can adopt a mob mentality. And when that happens, all hell breaks loose. I had my own experience with a bad cop, back in 2009, when I was railroaded on false DWI charges. It took two years to get the conviction overturned, and get it wiped off my record, and it only happened because the cop did the same thing to a woman who just happened to be a secretary at the Houston FBI office. The town of Tomball's police force is still under Federal supervision for that, and the cop in question was investigated by a grand jury and charged with official oppression. He is still on probation for it. He was also fired, and his captain was demoted. The irony here is that, although I wasn't drunk the day he busted me, I had been sick and hadn't slept in 3 days. I almost fell asleep at the wheel, and that bust probably saved my life.
How'd you come up with that 99% number?

You don't lie to the FBI.

    No ****.

I don't know the exact number of how many law abiding citizens are sitting in a federal prison and the only crime they committed was to lie to a FBI agent while being interviewed. But there are a lot of people behind bars today for just lying to a fed.
