They have no problem picking up an American who accidentally drifts into their territory with a couple of guns, but can't seem to get interested in shutting down the cartels or other groups who are armed to the teeth - probably because certain members of their government benefit from the status quo. They've done little to inspire respect.

Mexico probably figures that our borders are our own problem to handle, and rightfully so! The big difference is that their immigration laws are strenuously enforced - ours are ignored by our own government! I keep wondering how the people who are following our laws - learning our language and our customs and legally applying for citizenship - feel about being pushed to the back of the line - behind lawbreakers!

I view Mexico as an enabler. There is no doubt our government has abdicated it's responsibility for maintaining our border integrity. If we enforced our border restrictions, Mexico might, might consider cracking down, but I have less faith in their government than I do in ours - and I have little enough faith in ours these days. I can't imagine what it must feel like for an immigrant following our laws to be confronted by illegals who wander in and realize many of the benefits of citizenship right away. It's bound to be a real disappointing experience.

The US insists Mexico do something about illegals [in my lifetime the term has evolved from "wetback" to "illegal alien" to "illegal" to "undocumented"] while it still, though negligence, sends it sick and its poor to Canada to try to obtain illegal care here. The US has DEA agents stationed in Canada locating and helping to destroy grow ops and drug labs, while cocaine, crack, opium, heroin and the weapons that go with it flow from the US.

I still adore the scene in "Sicko" where the woman almost gets arrested for trying to defraud our system. It has not stopped

The feds say that nothing credible substantiates the Judicial Watch claims. So I guess we will all have to see. Feds DENY claim that ISIS is in Mexico and plans bombing attacks in US | Mail Online

Rick Perry recently stated that ISIS might have entered the US through the Mexican border.... Well... It seems to just be more bull**** out of Perry's mouth
What is the standard for evidence? In what sense is the pentagon using the word as opposed to what Gov Perry has said? It seems to me that depending on context and word use both could be right. The bottom line is this: The southern border is documented to be unsecured. Video evidence show people crossing without any documentation. There is no evidence to say who these people are, true. But there is also no evidence that would exclude the likely hood that there are radical criminal elements, including terrorists crossing.

Well, since they were/are not kind enough to stop by the local ICE office as register as an ISIS terrorist, we don't know who has come across the border for what reasons. You and others are focusing on the fact he said something about ISIS to illustrate the lack of security at the border, not the lack of security.

So still no proof.
