Lawyer: Friend confirms that he and shooting victim had robbed convenience store - WTOP.com

FERGUSON, Mo. (AP) -- The friend who was with Michael Brown when he was shot and killed by a police officer near St. Louis over the weekend is reportedly confirming that he and Brown had taken part in the theft of cigars from a convenience store that day.

That word comes from the attorney for Dorian Johnson, speaking to MSNBC. Police in Ferguson had earlier announced that Brown was suspected of taking cigars from the convenience store in what was described as a "strong-arm robbery."

Somebody is lying about something. It's strange to me that all the "libertarians" trust the government here.

What altercation are you referring to? The Brown/cop altercation, or the one where Brown kindly adjusted the shopkeepers collar?

Yes well... the damage control crews are out making up information on blogs which then make it to sites like DP. It's probably happening on both sides which is why we need to wait for the actual facts to come out and be critical of all blogs on this issue - regardless of which side of the issue they take.
I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on whats being proposed here, hed agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute. - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.

I'm not judging, I'm simply stating a fact - there is nothing in the video that shows he paid for what he took. The other fact is, the police report identifies Brown as committing strong arm robbery for Swisher Sweets.

That in no way means he deserved to be shot - it simply means the video did not show he paid, and the police report identifies "strong armed robbery". Mmmkay?

The police aren't the "government". And there are no facts that anyone knows about the shooting other than a teenager is dead, and a policeman shot him.

Okay, then go ahead and admit that the kid whose "eyewitness" account is a liar, if you believe this blog to be true.

    – Ferguson Police Busted – Attempt To Defame Shooting Victim Blows Up In Their Face (VIDEO)

They never called to report a theft according to their attorney either.
Watched the video a few times, read the police report Ockham provided, and from what I can see the police report account seems to more closely resemble what can be told from the video. I would noit want to swear either way as the video is not clear.

I was thinking the same thing the other day. They always preach that you can't trust government and now they are trusting their word.

0:17-0:20, Brown reaches very far over the counter as if to grab something and then jerks backwards, as if the cashier swatted at him or something. Frankly, it looks like he went for the cash register. There is nothing in the video proving he paid, and he definitely took merchandise with him, against the wishes of the cashier.

I don't understand...what's the explanation for the cashier coming after him if he didn't take something?

Also this blog's cut of the video leaves out the actual altercation at the end near the door.

Of course. It's absurd from both sides.

I only have the say-so of the kid he was with that night (the witness who everyone was raving about the other day) who insists, through his mouthpiece, that they robbed the store. If they didn't, he lied. If they did, the blog is wrong.
