I admitted from the very beginning that the title was misleading. However, I think that it's important to consider any and all evidence that comes to light. It is sad that nobody would want to consider this because it contradicts their preferred version. It may be that the officer was justified, but I am not prepared to say that I'm convinced of that quite yet. The FB post from a radio station called "The Viper" is not something that I'm prepared to take as truth, but some people seem to think that it's far more trustworthy than my source because it backs up their beliefs.

It seems to me that there is not much proof either way.
Totally agree with you. Even though I have an inherent bias towards the police in such instances, I've also seen enough to know that they occasionally overreact. I will admit, the video from the store fed my inherent bias as well, but I'm not adverse to hearing differing takes on things - I don't mind being challenged in that way. I too have been wrong in first impressions.

I will say, to your last point, when the media circus comes to town, with all the flotsam that drifts in with it, proof is usually a second thought and often a casualty until the actual trial takes place. I think we saw a lot of that in the Zimmerman trial and circus.

The video isn't worth a damn, and what store video camera moves around like that. It's like it was held in someone's hand. Looks like he dumps stuff on the floor and then picked up some stuff and left. Hopefully I watched the correct video. I didn't see any money or anything else like that. BTW, why are store surveillence videos always so ****ty?

True. I only have his friend's say so. And if it turns out his buddy lied, it won't bode well for the anti-Wilson crowd, who I'm going to guess (not sure, just guessing) include the people who run that website, because it will mean the guy's a liar, and his "eyewitness testimony" as far as the shooting will be taken with a grain of salt.

I see there were also witnesses in there, so we'll also have to see what they say.

I am not calling anyone a liar until all the real evidence is presented. I am simply being realistic that either side can be lying at this point where nothing really is known except hearsay.
Officer Wilson is not going to make any pubic statements regarding the facts of this case while it is under investigation and I certainly wouldn't dismiss the Police Departments statements as third party hearsay. Other than that, there are other third party statements regarding the Officer's version and the statements of Johnson himself.

If that doesn't suit you, then don't comment on it...

I do not know, but suspect, that Officer Wilson has completed some type of formal incident report.
That report is likely withheld during the investigation, but should be available to the grand Jury,
as a matter of public record.

Oh yes because the Ferguson PD has no history of corruption and we should just take their word for it and not dismiss it. Didn't you just point out how people can lie to make themselves or perhaps their own police department look good....
