In Ferguson, Jesse Jackson Reportedly Booed After Asking Crowd For Donations

The one at the protest? He largely did a good job cooling down people, isolating the trouble makers, and ensuring that escalation did not occur on a moment to moment basis. I'm not much of a fan of the historical Black Panthers and am not optimistic about its recent iteration, but last night I didn't see anything really disturbing from him.

Heya Fiddy. :2wave: The FBI stated he was inciting violence towards the police. Yet they didn't arrest him at the time.

If you saw last night, he did quite the opposite. Pulled the protesters back numerous times, told them to go home, maybe at like 11:20-11:30 or something like that, and the trouble came away from his vicinity.

Did you mean Chawn Kweli? I was referring to Malik Shabazz.

The FBI is concerned members of the New Black Panther Party are in Ferguson, Missouri and advocating violence against police, according to an alert from the St. Louis Division of the FBI, reported KTVI.

Chawn Kweli, National Chief of Staff for the NBPP is in town, along with other members, to respond to the shooting of Michael Brown. There are some Chicago Gangs that would like him to come to Chicago.....a few think it will be his last stop on his long road to going nowhere.

Correct, however, I did not see (as far as I recall) Kweli's actions, but I did very much remember Shabaaz. If Kweli was near Shabaaz, then you would have to give Kweli the benefit of the doubt. If he was not, and was near those who had begun to agitate, then I would not. However, the funny thing was that it was confirmed that white communists and/or anarchists had started a couple of the bouts with police last night (sometimes revolutionaries continue to believe in the idea of the spark being needed to start the inevitable revolution). Both the police and Shabaaz seem to agree on the idea of outsiders starting the problem, but haven't identified the Black Panthers as the problem yet.

Oh I don't disagree that others are there too. But then these NBPP were encountered by some Vets to in their short history. Note how they didn't want to get out of pocket in Philly the second time around when they had some in front of them that knew exactly what to do with them.

I thought this was hilarious. :lamo

I could just see JJ now saying, "Please give me your money!"
And the crowd screaming "Booooooo!"
