I think it's much ado about nothing. It probably started out with some kid posting something on FB and it snowballed. I think there will be random pockets of violence, but nothing more. And nothing at all like the movie.

That's part of your problem: you haven't seen enough movies. All of life's riddles are answered in the movies. ~*~

The downtown business area is not bad. There is 'business' there and no so much residential. I'm guessing you didnt meander into the Washington Park or Englewood areas.

Very rare for Louisville. Relatively speaking quite safe; however, this happened March 22:Teen Mob Violence both very unusual. I think a social-media retard was trying to make a new name for boring Lou. BTW all that construction was probably the huge Waterfront renewal and bridge work. Huge difference from the 80's to 90's.

Well, like cinderella, if the shoe fits.....

Think about it, a lame little movie designed to further the Progressive meme about the wealthy gets the social media-O-sphere all twisted over the possibility that it's planned in a neighborhood near you.

The connection and reaction seems obvious to me.

Or, yanno, maybe it's just a movie.

This is far from the first non-story that social media has gone bonkers over. But hey, anything to further demonize "progressives," whatever the hell that word means this week.

Exactly kobie, it's just a movie. A pathetic little movie to further demonize the wealthy and make hero's of the homeless. Runs pretty straight down the Progressive meme to me.

With that in mind, who do you think is all twisted over the social media postings? People who saw the movie, and that would be the target audience.

My guess is the backers of the movie have been busy....

Could be a bit of viral marketing, since the sequel's out in theaters now.

RE: the bold, if you had seen the original Purge, the homeless were not the heroes of that movie.

I forgot, in some people's universe, the wealthy are the true victims of society, because every once in a while someone makes a movie that doesn't portray them as our generous benefactors.
