And they weren't being equated or even compared so I don't understand the point of that non sequitur. You probably should have read the post before commenting on it.

I did read the post. You said that if we didn't have the legal system, we have lynchings, which are completely different in causes and reason for occurring.

What I said was that if we don't honor and abide by our legal system then we find ourselves dealing with vigilante justice. Citizens aren't supposed to take the law into their own hands. Punishment is for the courts, not vigilantes. Get it now or are you still having a hard time wrapping your mind around this simple reality?
