Christian Leader: ISIS is Beheading Children[W:131]

Re: ISIS Beheading and Crucifying Christians in Iraq

I know you were kidding here-but its not really funny-theres nothing funny about ANY ideology that makes you scorn the things that will make you successful, and rob you of your initiative. This is why liberalism is so destructive-its intended to keep people ignorant, bitter, and dependent-on a political party.

Liberals have successfully turned free money into legalized heroin. There is no way their constituents are going to vote against that free money.

Re: ISIS Beheading and Crucifying Christians in Iraq

I can tell you that I do not get my information from the mainstream media. I live and work in the Middle East and I have contacts all over the region. Most of the media scare mongering over things happening their is orientalist nonsense. However, if anything they are downplaying just how horrific ISIS is. They are also not like Asad, Saddam Hussein, or Qaddafi. Those men are/were interested in only protecting and furthering their own power and wealth. They did horrible things to ensure that, but their ambitions were limited. The Islamic State on the other hand has no limitations on their ambitions. They want to establish a global caliphate. These are dangerous and evil men, and people are right to fear them.

I see this thread is in danger of degenerating into a liberals are evil, no conservatives! sort of nonsense. I'd suggest going back to Frodly's post and start from there, particularly this interesting little statement:

The Islamic State on the other hand has no limitations on their ambitions. They want to establish a global caliphate. These are dangerous and evil men, and people are right to fear them.

It has a ring of truth to it, whether you consider yourself a "conservative" or a "liberal", whatever that is supposed to mean.

Re: ISIS Beheading and Crucifying Christians in Iraq

From your Steyn link, his scathing observation:

ISIS are fast-track Nazis. No messing about with a few property restrictions and intermarriage laws as a little light warm-up: They're only in the business of "final solutions", and they start on Day One and don't quit until the last Christian and Yazidi is dead or fled. As I've often remarked about today's exhaustively cleansed Maghreb, Levant and Araby, Islam is king on a field of corpses. But pikers like the Muslim Brotherhood, the Baathists, the House of Saud take their time. ISIS are shooting for the Guinness Book of Records.

Fortunately, progressive opinion in the west hates Jews more than it loves Christians or Yazidi or Shia or Kurds, so ISIS can get on with killing everyone they want to kill. ...you have to pick your causes. To put pressure on Netanyahu, you fly in John Kerry to bore him to death. To put pressure on ISIS would require a commitment the west is not willing to make. So Christians will vanish from the region, and the Yazidi will vanish from the world.

As much as Americans might wish it were so, this is not just a story of one bunch of obscure foreigners sticking it to another bunch of obscure foreigners. It's also a story of a dying superpower betraying its friends in retreat.... You Want Nazis? - Mark Steyn

The real betrayal is blaming innocent Americans in the US for the atrocities that Islamists commit in the ME.

btw....most Jews in the west are libruuuuuls.

Re: ISIS Beheading and Crucifying Christians in Iraq

Speech police is correct. A few isolated cases vs a global epidemic of violence by islamists. He was right-most of the major conflicts involve Islam. That is an ACCURATE generalization...even if you dont like it.

You're so full of hate and propaganda that it's difficult to separate you from the Islamists.

Re: ISIS Beheading and Crucifying Christians in Iraq

America has always been evil, or didn't you know that?

No, I had no idea until you just pointed it out.

When did you first become aware of this evil?

Re: ISIS Beheading and Crucifying Christians in Iraq

The fact that they are intimidated does not mean they are not responsible for the actions of their group.
Groups with strong feelings tend to organize. Those who just want to get along with their lives in peace tend not to organize.

The organized tend to defeat the unorganized.

You must be one of the few people on earth suffering from this inability.

It seems many don't agree with Frodly, that America is to blame for the world's ills and Americans deserve whatever they get. Those who feel America is the problem tend to define themselves as Liberal, Progressive or Undisclosed..

Re: ISIS Beheading and Crucifying Christians in Iraq

No, I had no idea until you just pointed it out.

When did you first become aware of this evil?

The Vietnam era, when the Mai Lai massacre occurred.

If it matters that much to you, one could put those Liburul, Proggies and nondisclosed on their twit filter.

I doubt that.

Re: ISIS Beheading and Crucifying Christians in Iraq

So it was William Calley who demonstrated that Americans were an evil people? That may have been a rush to judgement but it was a terrible thing for sure.

In fact it doesn't matter to me.

We are told all the time that terrorists hate us because of US policy. Which is it?

This generalization is true, noted by many-but since liberals dont LIKE it, it will be called stereotypical hate speech.

Do you always believe what you're told?

Who should the US have supported in Syria....the Sunnis or the Shia? Which is it?

The further a society drifts from truth the more it will hate those who speak it. -Orwell

Hence the conservatives extreme, irrational hatred for liberals.

Of course I dont always believe what Im told-especially because its always lefties who are saying it.

We should not have supported ANYONE in Syria.

Hence the conservatives extreme, irrational hatred for liberals.

You do yourself a disservice when you dismiss the views of others as simply hateful or irrational. Try to understand.

True, but no excuse. The non organizers profit from belonging to the group and help sustain the group to the point of making it viable and the group actions possible.

Conservatives hate the constitution, they hate the government, they hate the president and half the country, they hate education, science and the environment, they hate women, gays, immigrants, minorities, the poor....they even hate US history and seek to change it. Conservatives hate America so much that they would rather see it fail economically and collapse from within like the USSR than to thrive under a democracy Really, there isn't much about America that conservatives do seem to like. Those that hate America as much as conservatives do deserve to live in Mississippi. The rest of us think we deserve better.

don't the underlined sentences contradict each other.

Wow. I hope this is just a rhetorical flight of fancy and not anything you actually believe, Moot. Wow.

Weren't you the one that said ISIS was created in Syria and that Obama's inactions caused a vacuum that allowed ISIS to fill the void? If not, I'm pretty sure you agreed with it. So which is it...Sunni or Shia?
