"You're the only person that decides how far you'll go and what you're capable of." - Ben Saunders (Explorer and Endurance Athlete)
Minimum wage is a living wage. It is not a living wage at the lifestyle you think you should have. If you live in a flop house with 30 other people with a shared bathroom, eat a communal kitchen and don't have healthcare, tough ****, that is all you earn for yourself. The problem is not society. It is not Corporations. It is those workers who are too lazy and too stupid to do better.
CEOs have much greater responsibility and affect the profitability of a company far more than a minimum wage worker ever could. Good CEOs are hard to find and costly to obtain. Minimum wage workers are a dime a dozen and easily replaced without anyone but them even noticing.
The big difference between you and those being beheaded in Iraq for being Christian is that you have had a plethora of opportunity to improve your own life but choose not to take them and they have had no opportunities to improve their lot in life.
