1. Obviously, Christians being slaughtered by Islamist wack-jobs is a serious problem that deserves a serious response. We managed to stop ethnic cleansing once via airstrikes -- I'm hoping that's all it takes to do it again, but I'm not optimistic.
2. I see the usual suspects are lining up en masse to completely absolve the Bush Administration, which began the series of events that has led to this terrible situation in Iraq, of any and all culpability for their role in it.
You can't sit here and chide liberals for "wanting to return to the days of Saddam," spouting off all the bad **** he did, and then in the same breath complain that things are worse than they ever were under Saddam and it's all Obama's fault. You can't have it both ways.
The Bush Administration executed the Iraq War in the most inept fashion possible, creating a massive power vacuum that was begging for an ISIS-type organization to fill it. These are facts, no matter how much you want to whine about "Bush blaming."
