Bears owe Cook County $4 million in delinquent taxes

The Bears were sacked this week for having underpaid ticket taxes on expensive club seats and luxury suites at Soldier Field.

An Illinois appellate court ruling Wednesday said the football team owed Cook County $4.1 million in back taxes and interest from the stadium's opening after renovations in 2003 through April 2007.

Cook County, now there's are haven for Illinois's biggest crooks in our history. A virtual pig stye of crooks. Don't give them one penny Bears (and whoop the Pack in 14)

Bears ain't whoopin' nobody again in '14, not with the interception thrower of the century at the helm.

Bears won't pay up huh? sounds like a page out of the cliven bundy playbook.

I hope the tax man cometh to McCaskey's doorstep and arrest him for back taxes. oh, wait a minute, he can't afford to hire a good quarterback, it's why the keep what's his face around.

I'd be happy just to see the Bears have a winning season.

and to pay what they owe. I mean if it were you or me, they'd be pounding on our doors trying to collect.

Nah. If you're rich enough to owe $4 million in taxes, nobody is pounding on your door. That's well into the second tier of the justice system.

Some white collar criminals/tax evaders have been taken to task by courts. If I were them, I'd pay up to avoid bad publicity.
