$50,000 in marijuana stolen from Seattle dispensary

Since there's no report of gunfire or victim of violence, I'm pretty sure I can determine that if guns were present they offered no violence upon a victim.

Surely you can see that. Come on, John, we were starting to get along and then you do this foolishness?

I'm simply pointing out that a reasonable assumption would be that anyone committing such a burglary would very likely be armed and very likely prepared to use the weapon if confronted. Simply because there was no report of guns or violence doesn't mean it wasn't a distinct possibility. Had the business had night security, we might be talking about someone shot and possibly dead.

The foolishness, from my perspective, is the assumption that legalizing a drug will make those who try to access it illegally less violent or less prone to use guns or force. You just have to look back a couple of years ago with the number of drug store employees and pharmacists who were murdered by desperate people trying to get their hands on Oxycotin.

I get your point. You are opposed to legalization of marijuana and think this somehow proves your position. It does not. It just makes you look silly. Stop it.

I don't care if you legalize it or not. I want to stop hearing that the reason to do it is to hurt the cartels. That is not going to happen.

Of course it is going to hurt the illegal drug trade, just as prohibition hurt the bootlegging trade. Its just not going to hurt it overnight, nor is it going to have much of an impact until there area majority of the states that have legalized it.
