    True.

Is this somehow proving him wrong? Cause I don't see it.

Not a matter of proving anyone wrong. Simply a matter of perspective that was evidently lacking.
It is not very unreasonable that the rich should contribute to the public expense, not only in proportion to their revenue, but something more than in that proportion.

Except when I read about it happening at someone's house, it usually also has an indication that guns were involved and someone was shot. Not so here, so you can ignore anything you want, but when things are legal, there is less violence.

    It was a mellow robbery.

This one business has, but Colorado has been open longer. Regardless let's look at some statistics of other things

    http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr...ables/table-23

    Robbery by location (2011):
    Street/highway 127,403
    Commercial house 37,885
    Gas or service station 7,009
    Convenience store 14,863
    Residence 49,361
    Bank 5,777
    Miscellaneous 48,878

    Burglary by location (2011):
    Residence (dwelling): 1,430,740
    Residence Night 388,630
    Residence Day 754,876
    Residence Unknown 287,234
    Nonresidence (store, office, etc.): 488,860
    Nonresidence Night 199,807
    Nonresidence Day 172,587
    Nonresidence Unknown 116,466

And we're worried about one dispensary that was burglarized without anyone being harmed in any way? So they buy a bigger safe, file an insurance claim, and life goes on.

We all know that the media is sensationalistic and rarely, if ever, reports on a home burglary where no violence happened and the police have no clue as to the perps. The only reason this story is such a big thing is due to it being in a state that has legalized MJ. Otherwise it more than likely would never have made the news. A police blot maybe. Not the news.

    Agreed.

Also, once it becomes generally available everywhere the prices should flatten out, though the sin taxes will compensate somewhat.

This should especially be the case with marijuana, as it is pretty simple to grow, compared to alcohol and tobacco, so there will be a lot of amateur competition.

People still steal and illegally import cigarettes, so it's going to happen, but I don't think it's considered a serious problem.

And now that legal growers and distributors can call the cops when they are robbed, that removes one of the reasons they have been targeted in the past.

Of course it did. But when a country's economy tanks, a lot of people get left out in rain.
